Job Description Who Are We? The Role: We’re seeking a Maintenance Lead to own maintenance systems and performance for an assigned production area at our Northgate site. This role is responsible for eliminating breakdown-related losses, driving planned maintenance effectiveness, and building capability in operating teams to improve reliability, safety, and results. Location: Northgate, Brisbane Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm Responsibilities: Own area maintenance system end-to-end (PM/CMMS): manage defect handling, planning & scheduling, and a continuously improved PM schedule with a minimum 3‑week forward forecast; ensure work is prioritised and executable across preventative, corrective and CI activities. Lift reliability and eliminate losses: lead breakdown reduction, loss elimination and root-cause problem solving; support/lead parts of 90‑day loss-elimination plans and deliver improvements in planned and unplanned downtime. Run workflow governance and shutdowns: manage planned/non-planned work through CMMS plus defect boards; drive timely defect close-out (or appropriate ongoing management); own area maintenance shutdown planning; support CMMS scheduling for other areas when required. Lead safe, compliant execution and quality: supervise/coordinate allocated maintenance resources (no direct reports per org chart), provide efficient guidance and hands-on support as required; perform assigned KHMS Maintenance Lead duties; champion Kraft Heinz Golden Safety Rules and ensure all tasks follow Food Safety, Environmental, Health & Safety, Ethical and HR policies, plus all procedures/guidelines that protect product and workplace quality. Build capability and ways of working: coach and develop shift teams (including apprentices) as a technical resource; participate in DDS and execute daily action plans; work effectively in the Maintenance Lead trio with a continuous improvement/growth mindset. Control costs, materials and purchasing: own M&R costs and area maintenance KPIs (including % planned maintenance and % PMs completed); source materials/spares and raise purchase order requests as required. Scope small capital work and meet workforce requirements: prepare CAPEX scopes up to USD $50,000; maintain flexibility to support employees across shifts, complete daily handover as needed, work overtime when necessary; ensure behaviours/actions relating to allowances and entitlements are compliant; perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills: Calm, steady approach under challenge; able to prioritise and coordinate work in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration skills. Works effectively as part of a small team of Maintenance Leads. Continuous improvement / growth mindset; comfortable driving change and capability-building with operating teams. Strong planning, time management, and documentation practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, including root cause analysis. Confident communicator with sound delegation and supervision skills. Education: Trade certification is desirable LOTO certification Pneumatics 2 (required/preferred as per site needs) Experience: Maintenance experience in a GMP FMCG environment (food manufacturing highly regarded) Experience using a CMMS (Mainpac or SAP preferred) Microsoft Office proficiency Experience leading or supervising maintenance work Benefits: Social Events (eg.
