Job Description: Sustainability Project Engineer About Crown At Crown, sustainability is a key part of how we operate. As a Sustainability Project Engineer, you will help support Crown's Twenty by 30 Sustainability Program by driving projects and analyzing environmental data focused on reducing energy use, water consumption, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions across our North American operations. You will work closely with plant leaders, operations teams, and global sustainability partners to help achieve our environmental goals. Job Duties Support sustainability projects and long-term improvement plans at manufacturing facilities. Work with business leaders and plant managers to identify opportunities to reduce energy, water usage, waste, and emissions. Monitor capital projects to ensure they align with Crown's sustainability goals. Share sustainability best practices across plants and business units. Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality teams to support environmental compliance efforts. Lead workshops at manufacturing sites on climate action, energy optimization, and sustainability initiatives. Support carbon footprint analysis and greenhouse gas reduction initiatives. Participate in customer meetings and prepare sustainability presentations when needed. Monitor and analyze sustainability data, including energy, water, and waste metrics. Ensure environmental data is accurate and timely within reporting systems. Support sustainability reporting requirements, including internal goals and external reporting frameworks. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or a related industrial environment. Ability to travel to Crown North American Plants ~ 10% Exposure to sustainability, environmental compliance, or environmental improvement initiatives. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency working with technology platforms and data systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience within the packaging or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of energy management systems and equipment. Understanding of water, wastewater, and washer systems. Experience with greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and sustainability reporting. Knowledge of capital project approval (CAPEX/PAR) processes. Familiarity with decarbonization strategies and emissions reduction initiatives. Experience using Power BI. Experience working with sustainability reporting or carbon accounting platforms. Ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams and locations.
