Job Title: Mendix Developer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Mendix Developer to support the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. The ideal candidate will leverage the Mendix low-code platform to design, develop, and deploy enterprise applications that support transportation and logistics operations. This position offers an opportunity to work on mission-critical defense applications while utilizing cutting-edge low-code development technologies. The JTMS Mendix Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining applications using the Mendix low-code platform to support transportation management and logistics workflows. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, system architects, and other developers to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications that meet operational requirements and enhance mission effectiveness. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the Mendix low-code platform Create and maintain domain models, microflows, nanoflows, and page layouts in Mendix Studio Pro Develop RESTful and SOAP web services for system integration Build responsive user interfaces that meet accessibility and usability standards Integrate Mendix applications with external systems, databases, and APIs Implement custom widgets and modules using JavaScript, Java, or React when needed Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Mendix best practices and coding standards Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and integrations Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues Participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Optimize application performance and ensure scalability Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with government standards Support application deployments across development, test, and production environments Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members Stay current with Mendix platform updates and new features Qualifications: Technical Skills: Mendix Studio Pro Domain Modeling Microflows and Nanoflows REST/SOAP APIs SQL and Database Management JavaScript/Java (for custom development) Version Control (Git/SVN) Agile SAFe Methodologies Required: Active Secret Clearance Must be a US Citizen Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field 3+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years of Mendix development Strong proficiency with Mendix Studio Pro and Mendix platform architecture Experience with domain modeling, microflows, and page design in Mendix Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services integration Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts Proficiency in SQL for data queries and manipulation Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git) Team player skills to collaborate with other teams Build out wireframes from requirements Desired: Mendix Rapid Developer or Advanced Developer certification Experience with JavaScript, Java, HTML5, CSS3, and React Knowledge of Mendix mobile app development Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Mendix Cloud) Understanding of microservices architecture Experience with transportation or logistics systems Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance standards Experience integrating with government systems and databases Background in enterprise application development Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools Experience with SAP S/4 HANA - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
