Job Description Who We're Looking For You're a specialist transformer Electro Mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in active part design / Tank /External Design. Blends technical rigor with practical judgment, driven by an unwavering curiosity to learn and innovate every day. Job Responsibilities Preparation of transformer detailed engineering design (including necessary calculations) and drawings (preferably 400kV and above, with HVDC / offshore experience), ability to carry out / review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and specify parameters critical to quality (CTQ) and Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (FMEA) Review of specifications, identification of clarifications/deviations and action plans, with the ability to lead them to conclusion Selection and specification of components for ordering and manufacturing Key Performance Indicators of on-time delivery, right first time and budget adherence Leading communication/co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, other departments such as projects, tendering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc). Education And Experience Electrical or mechanical engineer or person with similar experience (in Power Transformers) Experience of working on 3D, 2D tools (Inventor/ equivalent, Autocad) Experience of Document management system (WindChill / equivalent) Transformer design knowledge (especially transformer design calculations, active part design including lead exits, insulation, windings, nesting of coils and tank design) Knowledge of IEC60076. Knowledge of offshore requirements are also preferred Should have worked independently on tender and project designs Additional Requirements Shall be able to demonstrate GE VernovaWay ( Innovative, customer oriented, Lean is how we work, One Team Approach, Be Accountable).
