[What the role is] As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are:   [What you will be working on] Assist the Shift Leader to monitor and control plant processes and to operate M&E and auxiliary equipment safely  Respond to abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.  Record process and equipment operating readings, perform site checks and troubleshoot minor equipment failures.  Carry out site checks of equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records.  Carry out sampling and testing of specific process parameters to ensure compliance to desired quality output.  Record all events that occurred during the shift duty in the operations logbook.  Report all equipment breakdown that occurred during the shift in the daily fault notification file.  Check equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records.  Attend to alarms detected within the Plant.  Any other duties assigned.  [What we are looking for] Diploma in Engineering (Electrical preferred)  Able to work independently and a good team player  Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works  Work Location Changi Water Reclamation Plant  http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
