Bloomsbury is seeking a Fall Marketing Intern for its Adult Trade team. The intern will assist our small team in marketing efforts for a range of fiction, nonfiction, and lifestyle titles. Please note that interns will not be working with Sarah J. Maas, Archer, or YA/Children’s books. No prior publishing experience is required, though a demonstrated interest in publishing is key.

Requirements

Since we are a small team, interns play an integral role in our day-to-day operations. Intern projects reflect the diverse aspects of trade marketing, including:

· Facilitating multiple weekly departmental mailings

· Researching high-impact, title-specific influencers

· Drafting marketing copy for designed promotional assets

· Ideating and contributing content to our social media accounts

· Attending weekly departmental meetings with editorial, sales, and publicity when available

· Providing additional administrative support to the marketing team as needed


Application deadline: October 16, 2026


Wage: $18.00/hr


Duration: This position will begin on October 26, 2026, and will run until year end.


Time commitment: We require a commitment of up to 21 hours per week. Availability must include the core hours of 10:00a-4:00p Monday-Thursday.


Location: Candidates must reside in NY tri-state area, and be able to work in-person at our Midtown Manhattan office 2 days per week. 


Requirements:

We are looking for a creative and motivated individual who ideally has the following skills: 

· Ability to work efficiently and independently

· Strong communication skills suitable for a fast-paced, professional environment

· Detail-oriented, able to manage their own time, and highly organized

· Demonstrable interest in learning about marketing and publishing
