We create possibilities that move life and commerce forward Welcome to Manhattan. Every day, our supply chain commerce technology connects two billion people to 20 billion consumer choices. In the warehouse, on the road and in the store, we make what was once impossible, possible. If you want to tackle complex problems and redefine markets, you’ve come to the right place. The Senior Product Marketing Manager is an integral part of our marketing team. The successful candidate will grasp and translate complex order orchestration and omnichannel customer service capabilities into business benefits, and develop compelling narratives that communicate how Manhattan's unified, cloud-native OMS enables agility, profitability, and AI-driven intelligence across promising, ordering, fulfillment, and post-purchase experiences -- as part of a single unified commerce platform spanning order management, point of sale, and store and warehouse fulfillment. Duties and Responsibilities -- Product Positioning & Messaging Evolve the core messaging for ActiveOrder around the customer and business outcomes it drives -- faster and more accurate promises, friction-free returns and exchanges, and consistent service across every channel -- using capabilities like Distributed Order Management, real-time promising, and omnichannel customer engagement as supporting proof, not the headline. Craft differentiated positioning for order orchestration, customer service, and store fulfillment, showcasing how customers can outpace competitors with a modern, cloud-native OMS. Own how ActiveOrder's story connects into Manhattan's broader unified commerce platform -- how order management, point of sale, and warehouse execution work together on one architecture -- partnering with the ActiveStore product marketing lead to keep cross-solution messaging consistent. Translate complex order management and customer experience concepts into clear, value-based stories that resonate with digital commerce executives, supply chain and operations executives, omnichannel leaders, customer service leaders, and IT decision makers. Go-to-Market Leadership Partner with Product Management and Programs to define launch plans for new OMS capabilities, modules, and industry solutions. Build go-to-market strategies that amplify ActiveOrder differentiation across industries like retail, wholesale, direct-to-consumer, grocery, and B2B verticals. Develop enablement materials for Sales, Customer Success, and Partners that include messaging frameworks, pitch decks, FAQs, and ROI/value calculators. Thought Leadership & Content Development Create authoritative content built around real customer experience and outcome improvements -- not feature or capability lists -- that establishes Manhattan's leadership in unified commerce, keeping the human story of the shopper, associate, or service agent at the center even as content production itself becomes increasingly AI-first. Partner with corporate communications and digital marketing to develop blogs, eBooks, white papers, webinars, and keynote materials. Act as a subject matter expert and spokesperson in internal briefings, analyst relations (Forrester, Gartner, IDC), and customer-facing events such as Momentum. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with Partner and Sales teams to ensure unified messaging across the Manhattan portfolio. Partner with R&D, Professional Services and Customer Services to amplify ActiveOrder adoption through campaigns, customer stories, and showcase demos. Support analyst relations and press briefings with strong, data-driven narratives about Manhattan's OMS leadership. Client Relationship Skills Interacts internally and externally with executive level management. Influences decision makers internally and externally. REQUIREMENTS -- 7+ years of B2B or SaaS product marketing experience, with at least 4 years marketing order management, unified commerce (OMS + POS + WMS), or enterprise omnichannel customer engagement software. Deep, hands-on understanding of order management and omnichannel commerce, including distributed order orchestration, available-to-promise, sourcing and fulfillment, store fulfillment (BOPIS, ship-from-store), returns and exchanges, customer service/case management, and how order management functions as part of a unified commerce stack alongside point-of-sale and warehouse systems. Demonstrated experience marketing to senior digital commerce and operations executives at $500M+ enterprise and strategic enterprise accounts (e.g., CDO/VP of Commerce, COO/CSCO, CTO/CIO). Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output. Exceptional written, oral, and executive presentation skills. Proven success managing cross-functional go-to-market initiatives from strategy through execution. Experience supporting enterprise software sales teams with positioning, competitive intelligence, and enablement assets, including competitive displacement against named OMS platforms (e.g., Salesforce Order Management, Kibo Commerce, Fluent Commerce, SAP Order Management). Proven discipline for building customer- and outcome-centered narratives rather than feature or capability lists, and for keeping that human-centric storytelling instinct intact as content production becomes increasingly AI-first. Preferred Background in retail, digital commerce, omnichannel, or direct-to-consumer industries. Experience with wholesale B2B ordering requirements and/or ERP order management solutions. Experience marketing to digital commerce and operations audiences (CDO/VP of Commerce, COO/CSCO, CTO/CIO, VP/Director of Omnichannel Operations, VP/Director Customer Service, CFO/EVP Finance). Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. Familiarity with cloud-native SaaS platforms, composable commerce ecosystems, or the OMS competitive landscape (Salesforce Order Management, Kibo Commerce, Fluent Commerce, SAP Order Management, IBM Sterling, Oracle Order Management) a plus. Significant plus: direct experience operating inside a structured, governed content and messaging system -- persona- and account-based message architecture, proof-point governance, and AI-assisted (agentic) workflows used to draft, test, and scale positioning and content at speed. The differentiated skill is not tool fluency by itself: agentic tools can generate a feature dump in seconds. It's knowing how to direct them toward customer- and outcome-centered stories instead -- keeping content human-centric even as production becomes increasingly AI-first. Candidates who have worked inside this kind of system, rather than only having used general-purpose AI writing tools on an ad hoc basis, will ramp fastest into Manhattan's marketing organization.
