Role: Sales Associate – Yankee Candle – FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Salary: £15.00 Hourly Rate

Contract: Part Time

As a Sales Associate, you'll help bring this heritage to life by sharing your passion for fragrance, connecting with customers and creating a welcoming store environment where every visit feels special.

What you'll do

As a Sales Associate, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales and bringing the Yankee Candle brand to life. We're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people, has a passion for retail and takes pride in creating memorable shopping experiences. You'll help customers discover their perfect fragrances, share your product knowledge and ensure the store remains inviting, well-presented and ready for every customer.

Deliver exceptional customer experiences

  • Welcome customers into the store and provide friendly, engaging and personalised service.

  • Build genuine connections with customers to understand their needs and recommend products they'll love.

  • Bring the Yankee Candle brand to life through engaging fragrance storytelling and product demonstrations.

  • Develop your product knowledge to confidently share information about our fragrances, candles and home fragrance collections.

  • Create memorable shopping experiences that encourage customer loyalty and repeat visits.

Drive sales and store performance

  • Contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets.

  • Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products and maximise sales through effective cross-selling.

  • Stay informed about promotions, new product launches and seasonal collections.

  • Take a proactive approach to engaging customers and helping them discover the right products.

  • Support the wider team in achieving store objectives and delivering strong commercial results.

Maintain brilliant retail standards

  • Keep the store clean, organised and beautifully presented in line with Yankee Candle brand standards.

  • Replenish stock and ensure products are displayed attractively and readily available.

  • Support deliveries, stock management and general store operations as required.

  • Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of health, safety and security.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the store runs smoothly, especially during busy trading periods.

What we're looking for

  • A passion for customer service and creating positive shopping experiences.

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers.

  • An enthusiasm for sales, with a desire to help customers find products they'll love.

  • A proactive, friendly and approachable attitude.

  • Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining excellent store standards.

  • A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • A supportive team player who enjoys working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
