At CSTG, you’ll be part of a team that empowers organizations to innovate faster, make smarter decisions, and compete boldly in a rapidly evolving digital world.
We’re looking for a motivated and relationship-oriented Associate Business Development Executive to support CleanSlate’s IBM Solutions sales organization in the Austin market and nationwide. This sales development role focuses on identifying, prospecting, engaging, and developing new customer relationships, building strong relationships with local IBM sales teams, and generating qualified meetings and opportunities. The role allocates 80% of its focus to new logo acquisition and IBM sales collaboration and 20% to existing customer growth and licensing modernization. It is ideal for an early- to mid-career sales professional who enjoys outbound prospecting, relationship building, and collaboration with sales and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
New Logo Acquisition & IBM Sales Collaboration
- Identify, prospect, engage, and develop new customer relationships for CleanSlate. Research target accounts to uncover whitespace opportunities and connect with key stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with local IBM SDRs, account executives, and sales teams to identify opportunities, align target accounts, and coordinate outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals.
- Generate qualified meetings and new-logo pipeline for CleanSlate’s IBM Solutions sales organization. Support discovery and qualification conversations, connect prospects with sales executives and technical leaders, and ensure timely follow-up and opportunity handoffs.
- Develop a working knowledge of CleanSlate’s IBM Solutions offerings to support account planning, customer engagement strategies, proposals, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline records in Salesforce and Apollo. Track outreach, qualified meetings, partner referrals, and pipeline progression, and share regular updates with sales leadership.
Existing Customer Growth & Licensing Modernization
- Identify existing customers with legacy IBM licensing models, upcoming renewals, potential over-licensing or under-licensing, or opportunities to adopt newer IBM licensing structures and offerings.
- Engage customers in licensing review discussions and coordinate assessments with CleanSlate’s IBM Solutions sales and technical teams to uncover optimization and modernization opportunities.
- Develop an incremental pipeline within the installed base by advancing opportunities identified through licensing reviews. Maintain timely follow-up and track opportunity progression in Salesforce and Apollo.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, SDR, BDR, inside sales, account management, or technology sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo, or similar CRM platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling or supporting technology solutions, software licensing, or professional services.
- Exposure to IBM solutions, licensing models, or the IBM partner ecosystem.
- Experience working with channel partners or alliance organizations.
- Familiarity with consultative sales methodologies.
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience.
