The BIM Technician II is responsible for the creation and modification of documents and drawings in 2D and 3D from conceptual design through successful installation for electrical and specialty system construction, under the direction of an experienced BIM Technician. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft 365 Suite. Candidate must have intermediate knowledge the required software (Revit MEP, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc). This position works in a team environment and must be able to effectively collaborate verbally and in writing, be reliable and possess a positive work ethic, and have strong problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or BIM Technology Experience: 8 years trade or 3-5 years of BIM experience Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conforms to all expectations and responsibilities of BIM Technician 1. Provides feedback on established standards and processes. Able to understand current building techniques and trends. Able to provide forecast on assigned work with oversight of BIM support lead and/or Supervisor and completes work within estimated hours. Performs work to current standards with minimal technical oversight. Able to support multiple tasks at the same time. Runs clash detection, document clashes, and track through clash report. Positively support others on the team in a support role. Provides mentorship to BIM Technician 1 team members. Able to lead smaller scopes of work within a project. Demonstrates ability to provide input in coordination efforts. Able to read/understand specifications and apply to modeling efforts within project contractual expectations. Able to understand contractual expectations for assigned scopes. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
