About the role The Cyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineer is a senior technical engineering role responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of cybersecurity solutions protecting Haleon's cloud, data and AI environments. Reporting to the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager, you will work closely with Solution Architects, Product Managers and Engineering teams to translate security designs into robust, secure and maintainable technology solutions. This is a hands-on security engineering role requiring practical experience implementing, configuring and operating enterprise security technologies. The successful candidate will bring strong technical delivery experience and a proven ability to own security capabilities throughout their lifecycle, from implementation and integration through operational support and continuous improvement. This role requires strong hands-on engineering expertise and a proven track record of implementing, integrating and operating enterprise security technologies. The successful candidate will be comfortable translating security designs into production-ready solutions and taking ownership of technical delivery across the full solution lifecycle, from implementation through ongoing optimisation and support. Role Responsibilities Act as the subject matter expert for the design, build, configuration, integration and optimisation of cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data and AI environments. Participate in the technical implementation and deployment of new cloud, data and AI security capabilities and enhancements. Lead the implementation, integration and continuous improvement of cloud, data and AI security technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable. Provide expert engineering support for the day-to-day BAU operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud security, data protection and AI security platforms. Collaborate with the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager, Solution Architects and delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and meet business and security requirements. Develop and maintain technical standards, configuration baselines, automation scripts and operational procedures for cloud, data and AI security systems. Support incident response and problem management activities related to cloud, data and AI environments, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes. Monitor system performance, availability and capacity, and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives. Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new tools or enhancements within the cloud, data and AI security domain. Support the transition of new security capabilities into sustainable operational support models. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in cloud, data protection, AI security, or related cybersecurity domains. Experience implementing, configuring and supporting enterprise security technologies and platforms. Experience working with cloud security solutions and an understanding of cloud security principles across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments. Familiarity with data protection, privacy technologies and/or AI security controls. Experience with Microsoft Azure security tooling and cloud-native security capabilities. Experience contributing to technical implementations, platform integrations or security engineering initiatives in enterprise environments. Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers and delivery teams to implement secure, scalable and maintainable solutions. Experience supporting security technologies throughout their lifecycle, including implementation, operational support and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with scripting, automation or infrastructure-as-code technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform or REST APIs. Experience working with data security, AI security or secure AI development practices. Experience within large enterprise, hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud environments. Knowledge of relevant security regulations and frameworks, such as GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001, SOX or CSA CCM. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AZ-500 or equivalent. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
