About this Position: LMCU is seeking a strategic and relationship driven Director of Business Development Relationships to lead growth initiatives across the organization's target markets and priority product lines. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities that support LMCU's long term business strategy while strengthening relationships with key community partners, employer groups, referral sources, and industry influencers. As a senior level individual contributor, this position requires deep financial services expertise, a strong business development background, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple business lines. The Director of Business Development Relationships serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization, and acts as a brand ambassador throughout the communities we serve. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of building strategic partnerships, developing new business opportunities, driving measurable growth, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. What You'll Do: Strategic Growth & Regional Market Development Identify, develop, and execute strategic growth opportunities aligned with organizational objectives and market trends Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects across assigned industries, geographic regions, and product segments Develop and strengthen relationships with employer groups, Select Employer Groups (SEGs), and centers of influence to promote LMCU's products, services, and value proposition Evaluate market opportunities and recommend growth strategies that support organizational goals Relationship Management & External Engagement Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key prospects, partners, referral sources, community leaders, and industry influencers Represent LMCU as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador at community events, conferences, and industry forums Serve as a proven community leader through active involvement in industry, civic, and community organizations Build strategic partnerships that increase brand awareness, membership growth, and business development opportunities Internal Collaboration & Influence Partner with regional leaders and business line partners to identify opportunities, share referrals, and support growth objectives Collaborate closely with Retail Branches, Mortgage Sales, SBA, Commercial Lending, Small Business Lending, Premier Services, and Community Relations teams Provide strategic insight and recommendations to leadership regarding market dynamics, member needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities Lead cross functional initiatives and influence stakeholders to drive business outcomes and strategic priorities Sales Execution Manage end to end business development activities, including prospecting, relationship development, solution design, proposal creation, and closing Develop and deliver compelling presentations to executive leaders, business owners, and decision makers Meet or exceed annual business development goals, revenue objectives, and strategic performance metrics Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand product and service adoption Data Analysis & Reporting Track business development activities, pipeline performance, and outcomes using reporting and CRM tools Monitor performance and provide regular updates on progress toward growth objectives and strategic priorities Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks Leverage data and analytics to support decision making and measure business impact Adhere to and champion our core values of curious minds, collaborative hearts and continuous excellence What You'll Bring: Associate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field Eight to ten years of progressive experience in business development, relationship management, community outreach, or related functions within a financial institution preferred Experience working within or partnering with banks, credit unions, or other financial services organizations Proven success developing, managing, and closing complex business opportunities with high value clients, organizations, or strategic partners Demonstrated experience building relationships that drive member acquisition, retention, and growth Knowledge & Skills: Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical capabilities Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills Experience influencing and leading cross functional initiatives without direct authority Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, community organizations, and industry partners Experience managing pipelines, tracking performance metrics, and achieving measurable growth goals Proficiency with customer relationship management systems, reporting platforms, and business productivity tools Experience with financial institution core systems and reporting tools preferred Strong understanding of financial services products, solutions, and market dynamics Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business lines Experience supporting financial education initiatives, community outreach programs, and partnership development efforts preferred What You'll Get: All Employees: weekly pay and retirement savings options.
