Lead Identity Platform Engineer

Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, engineering, and strategic direction of the enterprise Workforce Identity Platform. Design and implement scalable identity, authentication, and access management solutions that enhance user experience while meeting enterprise requirements. Serve as the senior technical expert for identity platform design, integration, and modernization initiatives. Drive the adoption of engineering best practices, platform standards, and automation across identity services. Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment capabilities to improve platform reliability, consistency, and speed of delivery. Lead complex, enterprise-wide identity programs from solution design through implementation and operational transition. Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to define identity requirements and deliver integrated solutions. Mentor and develop engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, knowledge sharing, and coaching. Establish platform roadmaps, architectural patterns, and long-term strategies that align with organizational objectives. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative approaches to improve platform capabilities and operational efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience. 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, identity engineering, or related disciplines. 5+ years of experience designing, engineering, and operating enterprise-scale workforce identity platforms. Proven experience leading large-scale identity transformation, modernization, or platform engineering initiatives. Demonstrated success serving as both a solution architect and hands-on engineer within complex enterprise environments. Strong experience designing scalable identity architectures, authentication frameworks, lifecycle processes, and access management solutions. Deep expertise in automation, infrastructure-as-code practices, and platform engineering principles. Experience influencing technical direction and driving outcomes across multiple teams without direct authority. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership capabilities.
