You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from contributing to architecture, solutions, decisions and lead development, testing, deployment, observability, and operational excellence. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on engineering expertise, and a passion for leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while mentoring team members and driving engineering best practices. Job Description Senior Software Engineer (Java, Integration & AI Engineering) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java-based application development and a strong engineering mindset focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex business problems, designing scalable solutions, and leveraging AI to accelerate software delivery across the entire application lifecycle. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to architecture decisions, implementation, integration, cloud deployment, operational excellence, and mentoring engineers. You will be expected to lead by example, influence technical direction, and help teams adopt modern engineering practices that combine software craftsmanship, automation, observability, and AI-assisted development. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Engineering Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot, camel. Contribute to solution architecture, technical design documents, and implementation blueprints. Develop scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable software solutions. Apply integration patterns and best practices across synchronous and asynchronous workloads. Drive reuse, standardization, framework adoption, and engineering accelerators. AI-Driven Software Delivery Leverage AI tooling and techniques throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in token efficient manner with human in the loop. Use AI to improve software development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, operational support, and engineering productivity. Build agents, skills/MCPs for scale up Cloud, Platform & Operations Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Azure container platforms. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation practices. Drive operational excellence through monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and reliability improvements. Support production systems and help resolve complex application and integration issues. Technical Leadership Lead technical discussions and clearly communicate design rationale to stakeholders. Mentor engineers and actively contribute to capability uplift across teams. Encourage engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and continuous learning. Raise the performance bar by challenging assumptions, asking insightful questions, and promoting high-quality outcomes. Lead implementation activities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Required Skills & Experience Essential Experience Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience building enterprise applications using Java. Proven experience delivering and supporting production-grade systems. Demonstrated experience contributing to technical design documentation and process improvement initiatives. Experience working across the complete software delivery lifecycle. Technical Skills Strong practical experience with: Java and Spring Boot 3.x Docker and containerized application development Azure Container Services (AKS or equivalent) OAuth / OpenID Connect based security integrations Messaging technologies and event-driven architectures (AMQ or equivalent) CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab Scripting and automation frameworks PostgreSQL and relational database design Redis caching technologies API development and testing NGINX, load balancers, and traffic management Multi-tenant application architectures Secure application development, data protection, and PII considerations Application observability and monitoring tools Performance tuning, troubleshooting, thread analysis, and code optimization Splunk, New Relic, or similar observability platforms API testing tools such as Bruno, Postman, and Curl Python scripting and automation for advanced AI-enabled engineering workflows React/UX implementation (led with AI) for platform management Integration Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) Integration frameworks such as Apache Camel, Spring Integration, MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM Integration technologies, or similar Messaging and distributed system design API-led and event-driven architectures Leadership & Behavioural Expectations The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Confidence presenting technical recommendations and implementation approaches. Location & Working Arrangement This role is based in Bengaluru, India. Candidates must be located in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
