The Opportunity
The Customer Account Manager – Repair Services owns the relationship between our company and its U.S. government and defense customers, guiding each repair program from the first opportunity through contract completion. This role sits at the center of our defense repair business. It connects customer needs with our internal teams so that every program is won competitively, executed on time, and managed in full compliance with government requirements. It's an ideal fit for a detail-driven professional with government contracting experience who enjoys owning outcomes, solving problems across teams, and building long-term customer partnerships that grow the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews and enters customer orders with high-level complexity/volume requiring significant decision-making capabilities.
- Works cross functionally to resolve problems.
- Participates on teams to drive process improvement.
- Maintain customer relationship to generate repeat business opportunity.
- Preparing responses for request for proposals and BID materials.
- Identifies and reviews new U.S. government opportunities through SAM.gov and other agency procurement portals.
- Reviews U.S. government RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, Sources Sought, solicitations, contracts, and related bid requirements.
- Prepares and coordinates U.S. government bid and proposal documentation in accordance with customer, FAR/DFARS, and internal requirements.
- Maintains Salesforce with U.S. government opportunities, submitted solicitations, bid status, contract awards, and applicable pipeline updates.
- Prepares and presents monthly U.S. government funnel/boards, including active opportunities, submitted bids, awards, and other relevant pipeline activity.
- Coordinates repair quotations and actively monitors customer approvals, material constraints, contractual delivery dates, delinquency status, inspection requirements, and shipment readiness.
- Performs post-award contract administration, including contracts, delivery orders, modifications, delivery requirements, inspection/acceptance, invoicing, and required documentation.
- Uses PIEE/WAWF and other government procurement and contract administration systems as required.
- Coordinates with Contracting Officers, DCMA, and other government representatives regarding contractual, inspection, shipping, invoicing, and documentation requirements.
- Supports GFP, discrepancy reporting, Plant Clearance/property disposition, and related government property processes.
- Supports CPARS administration, including reviewing evaluations and coordinating responses as required.
- Supports proper handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other sensitive government/customer information as required.
- Coordinate sales orders and related activities to sales order flow process.
- Analyses reports from ERP to identify potential issues in executing orders on time.
- Coordinate all purchase activity and coordinates with Buyer to facilitate expediting procedure.
- Investigates, coordinates and resolves customer problems with deliveries and discrepancies with purchase orders.
- Coordinate payment transactions from customers.
- Coordinate export compliance requirements for international shipments.
- Coordinate with internal departments until order fulfillment.
- Trains other team members in all aspects of ERP system as related to performing all of the above requirements.
- Understand and perform functions in accordance with AS9120 and ISO9001 Standards

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3+ years of sales account management or relevant work experience required
Technical Skills:
- ERP systems experience (Quantum preferred).
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
- Salesforce experience for U.S. government opportunity tracking, bid status, awards, and pipeline updates preferred.
- Working knowledge of the U.S. government procurement lifecycle, including FAR/DFARS and common solicitation types such as RFQ, RFP, RFI, and Sources Sought.
- PIEE/WAWF experience preferred.
- Familiarity with DCMA inspection/acceptance and contract administration processes preferred.
- General understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling requirements.
