The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. Lead Senior Audio-Visual Engineer MUFG is seeking a Lead Senior Audio-Visual Engineer to serve as the firm’s enterprise AV authority and lead systems integrator. This is a lead individual contributor role with strong dotted-line influence across engineering, operations, workplace/facilities, network, security, project delivery, and vendor teams. The role helps lead (A) enterprise AV architecture and standards, (B) executive rooms, IPTV, and mission-critical collaboration spaces, and (C) observability, automation, APIs, data extraction, and dashboarding for the AV/UC estate. The successful candidate translates multi-stakeholder discussions into clear requirements, decision-ready design recommendations, and supportable production standards for a large, risk-sensitive global enterprise. Responsibilities: Act as the authoritative AV SME on complex stakeholder calls—de-escalate competing viewpoints, run structured discovery, capture business and technical requirements, and convert them into BRDs, floor plans, test-fit decisions, BOMs, signal-flow packages, and formal design recommendations that can move into procurement and delivery without ambiguity. Enhance the full AV room and platform lifecycle from concept, survey, test-fit, and architecture through engineering, commissioning, room-ready gating, operational turnover, refresh/EOL planning, and decommissioning; ensure every design is supportable after handoff, not just installable on day one. Define and govern enterprise AV standards and reference designs for huddle, conference, boardroom, executive office, digital signage, wayfinding, multipurpose, and town-hall spaces, including power/data/conduit requirements, wall backing, acoustics, microphone/speaker placement, room personas, and repeatable design templates. Serve as MUFG’s lead systems integrator across vendors and platforms, driving interoperability across Cisco collaboration endpoints, Microsoft Teams / Teams Rooms, IPTV and signage, room scheduling/wayfinding, DSP/control, and adjacent enterprise systems while maintaining standards, lifecycle alignment, and operational accountability. Architect observability and automation for the AV/UC estate using platform telemetry, admin/device APIs, and management portals to produce actionable dashboards for device health, room readiness, utilization, capacity, and lifecycle decisions; use data to drive standards changes, not anecdotes. Design future-state conference rooms with measurable hybrid-meeting outcomes, incorporating AI-assisted room capabilities such as smart participant framing, active-speaker emphasis, people recognition where approved, and occupancy/utilization signals to improve meeting equity, reduce support friction, and inform capacity planning and refresh strategy. Provide clean transition to operations by delivering SOPs, runbooks, commissioning evidence, room-ready acceptance criteria, training artifacts, L2/L3 support expectations, and clear RASCI boundaries across engineering, operations, facilities, and vendors. Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering quality through design reviews, standards enforcement, vendor drawing review, commissioning discipline, lessons learned, and practical coaching on how to lead technical conversations with executives, PMs, architects, and integrators. Support executive and mission-critical spaces—including boardrooms, executive offices, town halls, and other high-visibility rooms—where service quality, resilience, timing, and risk sensitivity are materially higher than standard meeting spaces. Qualifications / Technical Skills Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco Control Hub, Cisco collaboration devices running Microsoft Teams Rooms mode, Microsoft Teams / Teams Rooms, IPTV / digital signage platforms, Utelogy, and enterprise AV monitoring/management systems; strong understanding of device/workspace inventory, configuration management, status, and administrative control models. Strong capability in automation, scripting, APIs, and dashboarding for AV/UC operations, including REST/API-based data extraction, device/workspace metadata normalization, scheduled reporting, alert/event handling, and visualization of room health, utilization, capacity, and lifecycle data. Experience building operational dashboards from Cisco/Webex device APIs, Teams Rooms analytics, Places analytics, and Utelogy telemetry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of software-defined / networked AV and AV-as-a-platform design, including AV-over-IP, VLAN/QoS/bandwidth planning, conferencing interoperability, identity/workspace metadata, device baselines, and integration of room technology into enterprise support and management planes. Demonstrated experience creating engineering-quality documentation and visual design artifacts used as decision tools with stakeholders, including floor plans, room layouts, elevations, rack plans, signal-flow diagrams, BRDs, standards catalogs/templates, scopes, BOMs, and turnover/as-built packages. Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit for plans/elevations and Bluebeam for markup/review is highly desirable; presentation-grade standards decks and reference templates are expected. Experience with testing, commissioning, validation, and operational turnover in enterprise AV environments, including room-ready gating, service-readiness criteria, change control, post-install acceptance, and clean handoff to support teams. Practical understanding of how AI is reshaping enterprise AV engineering: using room analytics and occupancy/utilization data for planning; designing for AI-driven camera behavior and meeting views such as IntelliFrame; and using proactive monitoring, automated workflows, and platform telemetry to reduce incidents and improve supportability over time. Experience operating in large enterprises and financially regulated or equivalently controlled environments, with mature instincts for cybersecurity, auditability, compliance awareness, change windows, operational resilience, service metrics, and executive-risk sensitivity. Candidates from banking, capital markets, insurance, government, healthcare, or other tightly governed environments are strongly preferred. Strong vendor/integrator leadership skills: able to challenge drawings, review trade-offs, govern exceptions, manage standards adherence, and drive better outcomes across integrators, OEMs, facilities partners, and internal delivery teams without relying on title authority. AVIXA CTS preferred; CTS-D strongly preferred. Equivalent depth in enterprise AV design, documentation, verification, and project closeout is valued. Relevant platform certifications in Teams Rooms, Cisco/Webex devices, and major DSP/control ecosystems are a plus when aligned to the environment. Education: •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience The typical base pay range for this role is as follows: New York / New Jersey: $130k - $205k Non-New York / New Jersey: $130k - $188k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
