The Role As a Product Manager, you will blend your expertise in check, deposit, and payment operations with a passion for delivering customer-focused solutions. You will work with Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and strategic vendors to define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Fidelity's check writing and deposit services capabilities. You will drive modernization initiatives that improve customer experiences, enhance operational efficiency, reduce fraud risk, and accelerate the transition from paper-based payment solutions to digital alternatives. The role requires a strong combination of product leadership, operational expertise, vendor management, risk oversight, and payments industry knowledge to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable service delivery while supporting the firm's broader money movement strategy. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor's degree. Minimum 10 years of product management, operations, or payments experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role. SIE/Series 99 required (can be obtained within 90 days) Proven success leading and scaling payment, banking, or financial services products and operational processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize strategic initiatives. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Vendor Management. Deep understanding of check processing, payment operations, deposit services, and related servicing workflows. Experience managing third-party vendor relationships, including contract management, service-level agreements (SLAs), performance monitoring, and governance. Knowledge of payment fraud trends, fraud mitigation strategies, claims handling, and operational risk controls. Demonstrated experience interpreting regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to payment and deposit products. Understanding of payment modernization initiatives and digital payment solutions, including ACH, direct deposit, bill pay, and other electronic payment alternatives. Working knowledge of technology platforms and operational systems supporting payment and deposit services. Job Responsibilities: Drive the overall product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Check and Deposit Services in alignment with organizational goals. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of check and deposit service offerings, including ordering, fulfillment, servicing, and operational support. Partner with business channels, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless product delivery and execution. Lead strategic vendor relationships, ensuring strong service performance, resiliency, and cost optimization. Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes. Oversee fraud monitoring, risk controls, claims management, and issue resolution processes. Conduct industry research, analyze trends, and leverage data to identify opportunities for modernization and process improvement. Track key product, operational, fraud, and customer experience metrics to ensure continuous improvement. Drive adoption of electronic payment solutions by identifying opportunities to reduce reliance on paper-based payment methods. Lead critical issue resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts. The Team This dynamic team is part of the Operations and Service Group (OSG) Account, Treasury and Tax Services Division. The Check and Deposit Services team oversees check writing, payroll direct deposit, vendor management, fraud oversight, and payment servicing operations. We collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and external partners to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient payment services while driving the evolution from traditional paper-based solutions to modern digital payment capabilities. Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
