Full time, fixed term position until December 2028 Opportunity to contribute to the establishment of the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator Base Salary HEO7 $117,133 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking a Senior Marketing Officer to support with the coordination and delivery of marketing and communications projects and initiatives for the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator, a partnership to establish a globally significant hub for biomedical research, innovation and translation in Sydney. This role sits within the Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Senior Project Marketing Specialist and supports the management of several marketing and communications channels. The Senior Marketing Officer requires strong project coordination skills. The team partners with stakeholders across the University of Sydney and the Sydney Local Health District to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with strategic priorities. Your key responsibilities will be to: support the planning, coordination and delivery of priority projects for SBA with the Marketing and Communications team, including tracking timelines, milestones, risks and dependencies management of all marketing and communications channels for SBA, including website, social media, and SharePoint support the development of assets, content and collateral support internal communications for the project contribute to sponsorships, events and site activations collaborate on the development of the SBA brand narrative and identity liaise with key project stakeholders at the University of Sydney and the Sydney Local Health District The successful candidate will have: excellent project management skills and the ability to work to deadlines across a number of projects simultaneously effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities demonstrated experience managing marketing and communications channels strong skills in developing digital and social media content and demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging trends, tools and best practice demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with internal staff and with external agencies/partners to support the development and implementation of marketing activities demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team including ability to adapt to a changing and evolving workplace well-developed analytical, critical thinking and reporting skills proven flexibility and self-motivated attitude with attention to detail Desirable criteria: strong writing and editing skills experience with Asana or other project management software experience working with marketing communications tools such as Canva, Adobe creative suite, EmmaHQ, Sprinklr, SharePoint or similar event coordination and support skills, with knowledge of best practice approaches Education and experience Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Media, or similar.) an equivalent combination of training and minimum 5 years’ industry experience in Marketing, Communications and Events Management previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex multi-faceted organisation. Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
