Summary: In 2009, The Coca-Cola Company introduced the revolutionary Freestyle dispenser. Open its door and you’ll find embedded software directing an orchestra of motors, sensors and precision pumps to pour a virtually unlimited selection of beverages. Today, Freestyle is part of a growing portfolio of connected beverage equipment: multiple embedded operating systems, digitally enabled dispensers and devices, and the cloud, web and IoT services that tie them together. As Manager, Software Quality & Integration Engineer, you’ll be central to the software quality, integration and release readiness of new software and hardware across that portfolio. Working closely with software and hardware development teams, product owners and Coca-Cola customers, you’ll drive software quality from test strategy through release: defining test coverage, validating new software on real equipment, triaging and resolving issues in the field, spotting defect patterns before they spread, and making sure every release is ready for the equipment and customers that depend on it. Every release you validate ends up running on real hardware in front of real customers, so the role calls for someone who is solutions-oriented and can balance competing priorities across teams. If you’re excited by REST endpoints that open doors, run compressors and pump fluids, and by the tools that keep a fleet of connected machines healthy, this may be the job for you. What You’ll Do for Us: Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Coca-Cola Freestyle fleet and other connected equipment, providing software quality assurance expertise across embedded systems, software platforms, connected devices, and hardware integrations. Coordinate end-to-end integration efforts across software release cycles, ensuring system stability, functionality, and operational readiness through comprehensive testing and validation processes. Define test coverage, develop test plans, create and maintain test cases, and execute both manual and automated functional and performance tests that identify issues and mitigate risk to the fleet. Bridge technical and business requirements during software release cycles and innovation projects by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align system functionality, user needs, operational goals, and deployment expectations. Analyze dispenser logs to assist development resources in defect debugging and leverage and enhance existing test tools to automate testing of physical dispensers. Partner with development and engineering management to understand dispenser and equipment requirements and ensure the testability of those designs. Collaborate with software, hardware, and other engineering teams to help deliver new technologies, embedded software solutions, and innovative system improvements across Freestyle platforms and connected equipment. Investigate and resolve escalated field issues through advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solving to improve system reliability and minimize operational disruptions. Review and validate new hardware and software prototypes, identifying integration improvements and ensuring compatibility, performance, and readiness for deployment in production environments. Provide fluency in AI-driven tools to support integration and troubleshooting efforts, enabling efficient analysis of large datasets and accelerating issue resolution for field and engineering teams. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Food Engineering). 3+ years of industry experience, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with the ability to leverage technical knowledge to provide competitive advantage. Strong knowledge of testing IoT and embedded devices, including Linux, at least one programming language (Java preferred), and backend protocols communicating to hardware. Excellent knowledge of both the embedded and full-stack software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools. Ability to help refine solutions and manage internal and external partners’ expectations against technical and business success criteria Strong working knowledge of shell scripting and Unix command-line tools. Ability to use backend communication protocols such as APIs and web services. Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, JavaScript, Java, Groovy). Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or similar tools. Experience developing test plans, assessing risk, detailing defects, and providing relevant data for test reporting. Fluent in software QA metrics, operations, and statistics. Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions. Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
