Full description
Senior Account Executive, Payments School Finance
Help districts modernize the way money moves through schools.
About the Role
Edlio is building a modern K-12 payments and school-finance platform designed around how districts actually operate. We bring together payments, processing, school activity fund accounting, reconciliation, reporting, forms, stores, ticketing and in-person collection in one connected platform, replacing fragmented workflows, manual reconciliation and disconnected systems with something clearer, faster and easier to run.
For schools, that means simpler day-to-day tools. For district finance teams, it means real-time visibility across every school. Our platform supports the full financial workflow:
Payment ? Processing ? Accounting ? Reconciliation ? Reporting
This gives districts school-level flexibility with district-wide clarity and control.
One Modern Financial Platform
- Collect: Online, mobile and in-person payments for fees, activities, athletics, stores, tickets, childcare and more.
- Process: Securely process transactions within the Edlio platform.
- Account: Manage activity funds and route transactions to the right accounts.
- Reconcile: Reduce manual work and connect payment and financial records.
- Understand: Give district leaders clear dashboards and reporting across the organization.
Because Edlio also powers websites, communications and forms, we can connect the financial workflow to the family journey as well:
Discover ? Communicate ? Register ? Pay
The result is a simpler experience for families, easier tools for schools and greater visibility for districts.
Why Customers Care
A CFO should not need five systems to understand what is happening with school money. A bookkeeper should not need hours of training to collect a payment correctly, and a parent should not have to figure out where to register, pay or buy a ticket.
Edlio is creating a simpler model: easier for families, simpler for schools, clearer for districts.
Why This Is an Exciting Sales Opportunity
You are not being asked to sell another legacy point solution. You are helping take a modern, integrated platform into a large market that is ready for something better.
Edlio already has landmark K-12 customers, a national installed base, long-standing district relationships, payment processing capability, its own accounting platform, happy customers and significant investment behind the business. Now we're building the team to take it to market at scale.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for experienced enterprise sellers who know how to win complex K-12 finance and payments opportunities. The strongest candidates will already understand how districts buy, how CFOs and business officers think, and how to navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
You Should Bring
- A strong track record selling into K-12 districts in payments, school finance, ERP, accounting or adjacent financial technology.
- Existing relationships with district CFOs, business officers and finance leaders, particularly in larger districts.
- Experience selling against established incumbents. Experience at KEV Group, RevTrak, or another K-12 payments or school-finance provider would be particularly valuable.
- Confidence selling enterprise-wide change, not just individual products or school-by-school transactions.
- A solid understanding of school payments and finance workflows, including activity funds, reconciliation, reporting, merchant processing and district-level controls.
- A consultative sales approach. You should be comfortable diagnosing how a district operates today and showing how a more modern platform can simplify the model.
- Strong commercial instincts around transaction economics, adoption and expansion. A payments customer only becomes valuable when the platform is actively used.
- The ability to build and manage a disciplined named-account pipeline, with a focus on large strategic opportunities rather than high-volume transactional selling.
- Executive presence and credibility with senior district leaders.
- A builder mindset. This is a growth-stage opportunity where strong sellers will help shape territory strategy, product feedback, competitive positioning and go-to-market execution.
Requirements
5+ years of B2B SaaS or fintech sales, with at least 3 of those years selling into K-12 districts.
- A record of closing enterprise deals (district-wide, multi-school contracts), ideally six figures in annual contract value.
- Experience with long sales cycles (6 to 18 months) that involve several decision-makers, such as CFOs, business officers, superintendents and school boards.
- Working knowledge of school finance or payments, such as activity funds, merchant processing, reconciliation or ERP systems.
- Comfort with public-sector buying, including RFPs, procurement rules and board approvals.
- Skill managing a named-account pipeline in a CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Willingness to travel to district meetings and industry conferences (for example, ASBO and state school business official events), often 25 to 40% of the time.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Listing “or equivalent experience” widens your candidate pool and lowers bias risk.
