Product Manager

Southfield, MI (Hybrid) · Full-time · Reports to VP of Product

Who We Are

We believe in small businesses and the people who grow them. At Credibly, we combine data science, technology, partner relationships, and customer support to give business owners fast access to right-sized capital — from working capital loans and merchant cash advances to lines of credit.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, with offices in New York and Arizona, Credibly has provided access to more than $3 billion in capital to over 65,000 small businesses nationwide.

The Opportunity

The Product Manager will drive product planning and execution across Credibly's lending platform: the experiences our merchants and broker partners use to apply and get funded, the internal tools our sales, underwriting, funding, and servicing teams rely on every day, and the data and integrations that connect it all.

You will connect customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility; decide what to build and why; and lead cross-functional teams through discovery, delivery, and launch. You will use data to measure what works, and you will look for practical ways that automation and AI can make our products faster, smarter, and easier to use.

What You Will Do:

• Own outcomes. Define the goals and KPIs for your product areas (conversion, time-to-fund, operational efficiency, partner and merchant satisfaction) and use them to guide priorities and measure success.

• Lead the product lifecycle. Take initiatives from ideation and discovery through requirements, design, testing, launch, and iteration.

• Understand our users. Spend time with merchants, ISO and broker partners, and internal teams to understand their workflows and pain points, and turn what you learn into clear problem statements.

• Own the integration and data-vendor portfolio. Evaluate third-party data, verification, and banking-data providers on hit rate, lift, latency, reliability, and cost; build the business case for adding, replacing, or renegotiating; and manage integrations with funding and capital markets partners.

• Write clear requirements. Document vision and scope through use cases, PRDs, epics, and user stories that give agile scrum teams what they need to build the right thing.

• Partner with engineering and design. Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to shape solutions that are usable, technically sound, and secure.

• Use data to decide. Pull and analyze data with SQL and BI tools to size opportunities, understand behavior, and evaluate the impact of what we ship.

• Find opportunities for automation and AI. Identify manual work and decision points where automation, integrations, or AI can create value, and work with technical teams to deliver them responsibly.

• Drive launches and adoption. Coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, and support on launch plans, training, FAQs, and documentation so new capabilities get used.

• Ensure quality. Define acceptance criteria, support testing and UAT, and work with business and engineering teams to triage and resolve issues.

• Stay current on the alternative lending and fintech landscape, competitor offerings, and emerging technology.

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of product management experience delivering software products, ideally in a B2B, fintech, or financial services environment

• A track record of shipping products that delivered measurable business results

• Strong product discovery and prioritization skills, and the judgment to balance customer, business, and technical needs

• Experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work, such as drafting user stories, summarizing feedback, or analyzing data, and good judgment about when to double-check the results

• Comfort with data; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools is strongly preferred

• Enough technical fluency to work closely with engineers, including understanding APIs, integrations, and system design at a high level

• Practical familiarity with AI tools and how they are used in products and workflows

• Experience working in agile teams with Jira/Confluence or similar tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to align stakeholders across functions and levels

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

What Makes You Special:

• Experience in small business lending, MCA, credit underwriting, KYB/KYC, or fraud operations

• Experience with third-party integrations common in lending, such as bank-data providers like Plaid, credit reporting agencies, and KYC/KYB verification vendors

• Experience with BI tools such as Metabase

• Experience working with data science teams on products that use machine learning models, such as writing requirements, testing model changes, or tracking model performance after release

• Using genAI to perform basic Python or scripting ability for data checks and test automation

Compensation

The expected base salary for this role is $110,000–$140,000, depending on experience and skills. [Confirm with HR and add bonus/equity details if applicable.]

How You Will Benefit:

• Hybrid work schedule based out of our Southfield, MI headquarters

• 4 weeks of PTO on day one

• 8 paid company holidays

• Paid parental leave, bereavement, and jury duty

• 401(k) with company match (100% vested after 2 years)

• Medical insurance through BCBSM or BCN

• Dental and vision through BCBS

• HSA and FSA available, including LPFSA and Dependent Care

• Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability
