The Director will translate regional and global priorities into market-specific strategies, balancing commercial opportunities, client needs, competitive dynamics, and local market requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and the ability to connect network processing capabilities with measurable outcomes for Visa and its clients. Serving as a senior partner to market leadership and client-facing teams, the Director will shape strategic client engagements, build investment cases, and lead cross-functional initiatives from opportunity identification through commercialization and performance management. The role will also represent the needs of Caribbean and Central American markets in regional and global product planning, influencing roadmaps and investment priorities. All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work. Key Responsibilities: Regional Strategy and Business Performance: Own the multi-year network processing strategy and annual business plan for the Caribbean and Central America, with clear market priorities, growth targets, investment requirements, and execution milestones. Drive processing volume, revenue growth, and adoption of priority network capabilities, partnering with market leadership to translate regional objectives into actionable country and client plans. Identify and assess growth opportunities across domestic and cross-border processing, client connectivity, transaction routing, and network modernization. Establish and manage performance metrics, monitor results against targets, and lead corrective actions to address gaps and capture emerging opportunities. Develop and present business cases for strategic initiatives, balancing revenue potential, delivery costs, implementation complexity, and long-term value. Commercialization and Client Leadership: Lead the regional commercialization of network processing capabilities, defining target segments, differentiated value propositions, go-to-market plans, and adoption strategies. Partner with Account Executives and market teams to build and advance a prioritized pipeline of processing opportunities with issuers, acquirers, processors, and strategic partners. Engage senior client executives to understand business priorities, influence processing strategies, and secure alignment on joint growth and modernization initiatives. Shape commercial proposals and support complex negotiations in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders. Translate technical network capabilities into clear client benefits, including improved transaction performance, operational efficiency, resilience, and access to innovation. Execution and Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead complex, multi-market initiatives from strategy and business case development through implementation, commercialization, and benefits realization. Align Product, Technology, Client Services, Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, and other stakeholders around shared priorities, ownership, and delivery commitments. Oversee the regional portfolio of network processing initiatives, managing dependencies, resource tradeoffs, execution risks, and escalations. Partner with technical and operational teams to support client readiness, successful implementations, and sustained adoption. Establish governance and executive reporting that provide visibility into business performance, strategic opportunities, delivery progress, and decisions required. Market Development and Organizational Influence: Represent Caribbean and Central American market needs in regional and global planning, influencing network processing roadmaps and investment decisions. Monitor competitive developments, payments infrastructure trends, and relevant regulatory changes in partnership with subject-matter experts. Develop market-specific approaches that reflect the diversity of processing environments, client capabilities, and business needs across the region. Promote innovation and the responsible use of emerging technologies to strengthen decision-making, productivity, and client engagement.
