Description

Flexi Software is hiring Junior and entry-level Full-Stack Software Engineers to help build the next generation of our platform. You will work across C# services and modern web front ends built with Node.js, React, and Next.js, backed by Microsoft SQL Server, and you will build, test, and deliver enterprise-grade software for financial institutions.

We are looking for engineers who embrace an AI-empowered software development lifecycle. At Flexi, AI is part of how we design, code, review, test, and document. You will work with agentic tools every day, and you will learn to direct them with good judgment, verify what they produce, and hold the result to the standards our banking, insurance, and financial services customers depend on.

Your primary focus will be delivering our next-generation web platform. On a limited basis, you may also work on Flexi's legacy Windows desktop solutions in C++ and C#, which gives you broad exposure to how enterprise software evolves. This role is a strong starting point for an early-career engineer who wants to grow quickly, learn from experienced engineers, and ship real software at scale.

This is a hybrid position, working in person with the team in our Atlanta, GA office.

About Flexi

Flexi Software has been a trusted provider of accounting solutions for over 30 years, offering both cloud-based and on-premise software purpose-built for organizations with the most complex accounting requirements — multi-entity and intercompany accounting at scale. Our comprehensive suite includes modules like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Fixed Asset Management, Project Accounting, Workflow Automation, Financial Reporting, and Budget Software. Serving industries including banking, insurance, financial services, credit unions, healthcare, and business process outsourcing, Flexi is renowned for its robust features, flexible deployment options, and exceptional customer support.

In January 2025, Flexi was acquired by Quality Standard, a permanent capital holding company  that acquires and grows fintech and govtech software businesses with a long-term ownership  mindset.  Quality Standard is actively investing in Flexi's people, product, and operations.

Flexi's office is located in Atlanta, GA. Quality Standard is headquartered in New York, NY.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and deliver full-stack features for Flexi's next-generation platform, working across C# back-end services and APIs and Node.js, React, and Next.js front ends
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, including unit and integration tests, as part of every change you ship
  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server: write queries and stored procedures, design tables, and learn to tune for application and      database performance
  • Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows daily across design, coding, code review, testing, and documentation, and learn      to direct them effectively
  • Review and verify AI-generated code with care, owning correctness, security, and quality for everything you commit
  • Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to build skill and uphold team standards
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release practices so changes move to production safely and often
  • Build with the security, reliability, and data integrity expected of enterprise financial software, including input validation, error handling, and audit-friendly design
  • Investigate and resolve defects, tracing issues across the front end, services, and database
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation and developer notes
  • Partner with Product, QA, and senior engineers to turn requirements into shipped customer-facing software
  • Contribute on a limited basis to Flexi's legacy Windows desktop solutions in C++ and C#, while next-generation web platform      delivery remains your primary focus, and learn how the new platform integrates with these existing products and our DevOps environment
  • Grow your skills through mentorship, pairing, and regular feedback, and share what you learn about AI-assisted development      with the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical      experience, such as a bootcamp, internship, or substantial project work
  • 0–3 years of professional software development experience; internships and strong personal or academic projects count
  • Working knowledge of C# and the .NET platform, including object-oriented programming fundamentals, and a willingness to      work in legacy C++ and C# Windows desktop code on a limited basis
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on experience building applications in React
  • Experience or coursework with Node.js and Next.js, including routing, server-side rendering, and API routes
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with exposure to Microsoft SQL Server preferred
  • Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience with Git and a collaborative, pull-request-based workflow
  • Active, hands-on use of AI coding assistants and agentic tools in your own work, with a clear sense of when to trust their      output and when to question it
  • A solid grasp of software testing fundamentals, including writing unit tests
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to ask good questions and take feedback well

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, or Web API development
  • Experience with Vite, modern build tooling, and component libraries or design systems
  • Experience delivering web applications in a B2B software environment using modern AI-accelerated tools such as Claude      Code, Cursor, and Codex, including prompt and context engineering for coding tasks
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and containerization
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms
  • Interest in or exposure to secure coding practices, including OWASP guidance
  • Experience with ERP, accounting, financial, or other enterprise systems of record, especially B2B enterprise software, and      prior experience in the financial services industry or financial accounting

Personal Characteristics

  • AI-curious and AI-forward; you actively use AI tools in your own work, enjoy experimenting with agentic workflows, and share what works
  • Rigorous about quality; you treat AI output as a draft to be verified, not a result to be trusted blindly
  • A builder; you like turning an idea into working software and seeing it used
  • Eager to learn; you ask questions, seek feedback, and improve quickly
  • Hands-on and persistent; you stay with a hard bug until you understand the cause
  • Security- and detail-minded; you understand that accuracy and data integrity matter in financial software
  • Collaborative and low ego; you work well with engineers, QA, and Product
  • High integrity and sound judgment; trusted with sensitive customer and product information
  • Positive attitude and sense of humor; work is way more fun with people you enjoy!

What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months

  • Fully onboarded to Flexi's codebase, tooling, and AI-assisted development workflow, and contributing confidently
  • Shipping production-ready features and fixes across the C# back end, SQL Server, and the React/Next.js front end
  • Delivering well-tested work that passes review with steadily fewer corrections
  • Using AI tools effectively and responsibly, with changes that are verified, secure, and understood
  • Contributing meaningfully to code reviews, tests, and documentation
  • Understanding how the new platform fits with Flexi's existing C++/C# Windows desktop products and delivery pipeline, and      contributing to them when needed
  • Developing a clear growth plan with your manager and mentor, with growing independence on well-defined tasks

Flexi provides excellent benefits including paid holidays and paid time off, a 401(k) Plan with company match, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, and a vision discount plan.
