1st Pet Veterinary Centers is looking for experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join our North Valley team. We're seeking technicians who are confident in a fast-paced emergency environment and passionate about providing exceptional care to patients and the people who love them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide compassionate, timely care to emergency and hospitalized patients.
You'll:
• Provide attentive nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients.
• Monitor patients closely and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the veterinary team.
• Assist veterinarians with the care and treatment of emergency patients.
• Help prioritize patient-care needs as emergencies arrive and hospitalized patients require ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient information and communicate effectively with the medical team.
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members during busy and rapidly changing situations.
• Communicate with compassion and professionalism when supporting pet parents during stressful, emotional, and difficult situations.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Use your existing emergency skills while continuing to learn and develop professionally.

Requirements
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an experienced veterinary technician who can contribute confidently in a fast-paced emergency hospital environment.
REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years of emergency and/or inpatient veterinary care experience.
• Strong emergency and patient-care skills.
• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns appropriately to the veterinary team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient-care needs while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate and professional approach when interacting with clients, including during stressful and emotional situations.
• Dependability, accountability, and a commitment to supporting your patients and teammates.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and continued learning.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credential.
• Experience caring for hospitalized and ICU patients.
