As a driven and detail-oriented Junior Sales Representative, you will support our sales team within the Inks and Coatings segment of the chemicals industry. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and promoting specialty chemical products to manufacturers, distributors, and industrial clients. Location: This position will require a period of hands-on technical training in our Hatfield, PA facility for up to 6 months, where you will work alongside our operations and R&D teams in learning our products and chemistries Upon completion of training, you will relocate to Texas (or if you prefer, Oklahoma) and work from a remote home office with up to 50% travel This is an outstanding opportunity to join a stable, family-owned and industry-leading organization where you can grow long-term within a B2B sales environment. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new sales opportunities within target markets (e.g., packaging, printing, automotive coatings, industrial coatings) Conduct outbound prospecting via calls, emails, and industry networking Support senior sales representatives in managing key accounts and closing deals Present and explain product features, performance benefits, and applications to customers Assist customers in selecting appropriate inks, coatings, and additives based on technical requirements Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and sample requests Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, and forecasts in CRM systems Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the coatings and inks sector Collaborate with technical, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or related field (preferred) 2-5 years of experience in sales, chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial products (internships acceptable) Basic understanding of coatings, inks, pigments, resins, or additives is a plus Strong interest in technical sales and industrial applications Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Skills & Competencies Strong communication and presentation skills (technical + commercial) Ability to translate technical product information into customer benefits Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset Problem-solving and analytical thinking Willingness to learn complex product portfolios Ability to build relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers Penn Color offers an outstanding total compensation package that includes: Competitive Salary and Bonus plan Medical, Dental, Vision & other health related benefits 401K with a strong company match PTO to balance your life Additional company perks If you desire a long-term career, want to work alongside an exceptional group of people, and wish to use your talents to shape a world-class company, then we are your employer of choice!
