What You Will Do Web/Full Stack Software Engineer II - Sensors, Space and Air Join the Secure Product Assurance/Sensors Space and Air Software team at Raytheon, where we develop cutting-edge software applications focused on solving our customers' toughest defense challenges. In this role, you will be part of an elite software engineering team to design, code, integrate, and test critical modern, data-driven systems that integrate analytics, visualization, and distributed mission-critical applications. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple technology domains including back-end data processing, front-end web interfaces, and DevSecOps automation, while contributing to next-generation situational awareness and decision support systems. You’ll collaborate within an Agile team environment to design, implement, test, and deploy software components that enable real-time data collection, processing, and user interaction across complex distributed environments Key Responsibilities: Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions. Requires investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop resolutions. Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration, dependent on program phase Assist in the derivation of system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis Design, code, unit test, integrate, maintain and document software applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team Participate actively in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making alongside multidisciplinary teams, including program leadership and customers Support program execution to ensure work products meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines. Follow established software development processes and practices to maintain software product integrity. Work Location: Onsite at our Fullerton, CA Campus This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications You Must Have Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), preferably Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, from an accredited institution. Degree must be obtained by start date. Proficiency/Knowledge of Web Full Stack Object Oriented Design and Development Java development, Javascript / Typescript Modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, React, component-based architecture, Web sockets Reactive programming paradigms and frameworks for scalable event driven applications Full Stack Java, Python, C++, Ada, scripting Java UI frameworks such as SWING and JavaFX Red Hat Linux Tactical data links, radar/civilian data sources Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in a collaborative environment. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with DOORS, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Coverity, Collaborator, JIRA, GitLab Experience with ML Ops or Data Ops frameworks (e.g., Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar). Familiarity with web application architecture and tools (e.g., REST, GraphQL, PostgreSQL MongoDB, Redis). Exposure to real-time systems, distributed architectures, or mission-support software (e.g., visualization dashboards, situational awareness, telemetry). Internship or project experience involving data pipelines, AI/ML integration, or cross-domain systems. Previous RTX or defense-related project experience, or demonstrated interest/exposure to defense mission domains (e.g., aerospace, command-and-control, sensor systems, or intelligence applications). Understanding of cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of containerization and deployment technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
