[PUB-WRP] Senior/Asst Engineer, Shift Operations, KWRP

[What the role is] As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) in the Kranji Water Reclamation Plant, you will be part of the team responsible for the treatment of used water to quality suitable for NEWater production and for safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivate individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are: [What you will be working on] • Assist the Shift Leader to monitor and control plant operations including chemical dosing, electrical and mechanical equipment, and auxiliaries safely. • Supervise contractor’s workers on the operation of treatment processes, auxiliary equipment and safety compliance. • Respond to abnormalities and carry out SOP when required. • Record process and equipment operating readings, perform site checks, and troubleshoot minor equipment failures. • Carry out site checks of equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records. • Carry out sampling and testing of process parameters to ensure compliance to desired quality output. • Report all equipment breakdown that occurred during the shift in the daily fault report file. • Attend to alarms detected within the Plant. Any other duties assigned. [What we are looking for] Requirements • Diploma in Engineering Discipline (Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or relevant engineering) • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply • Able to work independently and a good team player • Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works • Candidate shall be working on 3 rotating shift (including weekends and Public Holidays) and there will be scheduled off/rest day.
