Job Description: About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll build core parts of the Business AI Cloud: the services, pipelines, and agent infrastructure that let Fortune 500 customers deploy governed AI in production. You'll own complex features end to end, set the technical bar for your team, and mentor other engineers. You'll work closely with product, design, and applied AI teams. What You'll Do Design and build scalable, secure, production-grade services across the Data, Knowledge, Model, or Agentic layers of the platform Develop systems for multi-agent orchestration, model routing, and low-code agent building Build integrations and data connectors that work with customers' existing stacks (CRMs, ERPs, data lakes, and cloud data platforms) without migrating or copying data Contribute to guardrails, observability, RBAC, and governance capabilities that keep AI behavior predictable and compliant Lead technical design discussions and write clear design docs Run thorough code reviews and uphold standards for quality, security, and performance Mentor junior and mid-level engineers Partner with product and customer-facing teams to turn enterprise requirements into well-scoped solutions Take part in on-call rotations and help resolve production issues Help improve engineering practices, tooling, and CI/CD Early Partnership (25%) - Review RFCs and PRDs to prevent downstream issues, provide architectural guidance during planning phases Self-Service Enablement (25%) - Create documentation, knowledge bases, and tooling that eliminate support dependencies Incident Excellence (20%) - Design incident response frameworks, escalation procedures, and comprehensive playbooks that teams can self-execute Standards & Architecture (20%) - Define technical standards, operational frameworks, and service readiness criteria that enable team autonomy Service Ownership Coaching (10%) - Guide teams through ownership maturity, scorecard compliance, and operational best practices Maintain multi-tenant, multi-cloud infrastructure while building the systems that make your expertise scalable What You'll Bring Required 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript Experience building distributed systems, APIs, and microservices Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design Experience with relational and NoSQL databases Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD and automated testing A history of delivering complex projects with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Production Excellence - Deep incident management, RCA processes, and on-call system design experience Cloud & Infrastructure - Expert-level AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cost optimization Standards & Documentation - Strong technical writing skills, ability to create comprehensive operational procedures Architecture & Planning - Experience with RFC/PRD review processes, API design patterns, service architecture Collaboration & Coaching - Track record of enabling team capabilities rather than doing work for teams Proficiency in scripting (Go, Python, Bash, etc.) and CI/CD systems Strong bias toward simple solutions and systems thinking approach Nice to Have Experience building LLM-powered applications or agent frameworks (RAG, tool use, MCP, multi-agent workflows) Familiarity with model serving, fine-tuning, or small language model (SLM) workflows Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Spark Background in knowledge graphs, data integration, or workflow and process automation Experience building for security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA) Experience with observability tooling and event-driven architectures Experience building enterprise SaaS products at scale AWS Solutions Architect Professional or relevant certifications (GCP, Azure, etc.) Experience leading organizational transformation initiatives Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) Background in service ownership models and platform engineering Hiring Pay Range: $159,000 - $198,800 Benefits: In addition to competitive base pay, this position also includes an annual incentive opportunity based on target achievement, pre-IPO stock options, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with a match, and more, plus generous paid time off, paid holidays, paid day off for your birthday and other paid leave policies to support employees through all phases of life.
