Intern, Software Engineer (Javascript) - 12 months

Job Requisition ID # 26WD101691 Location: Sheffield, UK Schedule: 12-month full-time placement, starting June/July 2027 This opportunity is a 12-month placement based in the UK, structured in two stages: an initial 3-month summer internship, followed by a 9-month fixed-term contract (FTC). Each stage will be governed by its applicable contractual terms and conditions, which will be communicated to successful candidates as part of the offer process. Position overview During your 12-month industrial placement in our Sheffield office, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to grow your engineering expertise - while making real contributions to Autodesk’s Forma Design Collaboration product. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, designers, and product experts to build new features, using modern web technologies in a collaborative, agile environment. Alongside technical growth, you’ll also develop professional skills and build connections with other placement students and interns across EMEA and globally. Responsibilities Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design through to release Work on React-based front-end applications Collaborate with your team in our Agile (Kanban) development methodology Gain insight into modern software development practices within a global organization The ideal candidate Experience with Javascript or Typescript Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) Exposure to Agile development practices Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Strong problem-solving and collaboration skill Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk!
