Job Summary: Supports Crane-wide enterprise infrastructure initiatives by designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining standardized infrastructure solutions across business units. Partners with BUs to support adoption, configuration, and compliance with enterprise infrastructure standards, including data center, cloud, networking, compute, backup, monitoring, and security-related technologies. Manages enterprise infrastructure services hosted by the Crane Corporate Office, ensuring reliable operations, effective support, policy alignment, and continuous improvement of infrastructure capabilities across the organization. Essential Functions: Support Crane-wide enterprise infrastructure initiatives by designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining standardized infrastructure solutions across business units. Partner with business units to support implementation, configuration, adoption, and compliance with enterprise infrastructure standards. Manage enterprise infrastructure services hosted by the Crane Corporate Office, ensuring reliable operations, availability, performance, and support. Design, implement, patch, and manage data center, cloud, compute, virtualization, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and security-related technologies. Ensure uptime and resiliency of critical enterprise infrastructure through proactive monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and timely remediation of issues. Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities to preserve data assets and align with enterprise policies and business continuity requirements. Evaluate infrastructure trends, risks, issues, and requirements to recommend improvements and support continuous improvement of enterprise capabilities. Lead and support infrastructure projects, including enterprise standardization, modernization, migrations, integrations, and cross-functional IT initiatives. Ensure infrastructure solutions and operations adhere to applicable policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations, including Sarbanes-Oxley and similar regulations. Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, procedures, implementation playbooks, and training materials for business unit and IT teams. Provide advanced technical expertise, guidance, and support to business units and IT teams for enterprise infrastructure technologies and standards. Perform any other task assigned by supervisor or management. Non-Essential Functions: N/A Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a medium to high volume environment; Experience in designing and managing cloud hyperscale environments such as Azure and AWS; Experience in designing and managing hypervisor technologies including Nutanix and VMware; Experience in designing and managing backup appliances, storage arrays, and server blade systems; Experience deploying and automating virtual machines both on-prem and in cloud infrastructure; Experience managing networking technologies, including LAN, WLAN. WAN and Internet. Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of current cloud and on-prem compute technologies, hypervisors, networking, storage, and backups; Proficient in designing compute environments to meet best practices; Solid understanding of automation tools and deployment methods Skills/Abilities: Specialist on complex and technical business matters relating to networking and compute infrastructure; May assume a lead role on projects and able to work effectively in an individual or team environment; Must be self-motivated and able to take a project from beginning to completion; Outstanding documentation skills Education/Certification: BS degree in computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: N/A Crane Co. reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
