Position Summary The semiconductor manufacturing plant relies on flawless water and wastewater treatment systems to keep the Fab running without interruption. Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high-quality water to the Fab and managing wastewater from the Fab. The Sr. Piping Technician will repair, replace, and upgrade critical piping for Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) to support the Fab. The technician will work with minimal supervision on advanced assignments that require considerable judgement and initiative. The technician will have advanced understanding of equipment and processes in assigned areas and manage priorities to meet changing business needs. Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For: Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in operating all necessary tools and equipment. Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings utilizing couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, and caulking. Operate soldering, brazing, and welding equipment to complete installations. Possess and apply extensive expertise in Poly Pro and PVDF piping and welding. Read and interpret technical prints and blueprints to ensure precise execution. Diagnose piping malfunctions and implement necessary corrections directly in the field. Prioritize daily tasks. Able to work with little to no supervision on new projects or assignments. Complete work orders as assigned. Effectively communicate with customer and supervision. Follow procedures and develop new procedures.. Skills and Qualifications Here's What You'll Need: High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school certification preferred (State Plumbing License or equivalent). Typically requires 7+ years of experience. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment. Knowledge of pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment. Extensive knowledge of Poly Pro/PVDF piping and welding. Ability to read and understand prints. Can diagnose piping issues and correct in the field. The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
