Job Description If you like getting hands-on and pushing products to their limits, you will want to join our firmware test team as a Firmware Test Intern. You will work in a world-class lab within a product development group testing new industrial automation products to ensure quality customer outcomes. Learn from experienced engineers in a deep, technical environment in which the theory you learn in school meets real-world applications. You will report to the Firmware and Software Test Manager, and be on-site/in-person, full-time in Milwaukee, WI. Rockwell will match your background and skills with your interests and our needs. Additionally, there will be intern activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our culture. Your Responsibilities: Design and development of scripts for automating test procedures Document test procedures Execute test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated) Assistance with lab audit/improvement activities Resolve and document exceptions and questions. Create test reports Help with build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms The Essentials - You Will Have: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Pursuing bachelors or masters degree in electrical or computer engineering, or similar degree from an accredited college or university Must be enrolled for at least one more semester of school after the internship concludes (graduation date of December 2027 or later) Local or attending school in the greater Milwaukee area (within 50 miles from the Headquarter or Mequon location) Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign. Basic programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript) Basic knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs) Experience with Power Electronics or motors Experience with design capture tools Be able to work with schematic drawings Familiarity with tools such as CAD, Creoparametic, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), 3D Modeling, SAP, Matlab Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming Experience using Agile methodology What We Offer: Health Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision 401k Paid Time off Parental and Caregiver Leave Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.
