Supported by our dedicated Quick Response Center (QRC) in Benicia, CA, you will serve as the premier commercial and technical partner for our major refining accounts—delivering engineered solutions across centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, auxiliary sealing systems, and aftermarket overhaul services. ㅤ In this high-impact territory ownership role, you will collaborate directly with refinery reliability engineers, maintenance superintendents, and plant operations leaders to eliminate recurring fluid-handling challenges, extend mean time between failures (MTBF), and capture high-value equipment upgrades. Backed by our local engineering, machining, and field service infrastructure, you will drive customer reliability while expanding Flowserve’s footprint across critical downstream energy facilities. ㅤ Why Join Flowserve? Established Tier-1 Territory: Step into an active, multi-million-dollar book of business with major downstream refining accounts. Robust Local Infrastructure: Supported by a dedicated local repair shop, machining center, and parts facility at the Benicia QRC. Lucrative Earning Potential: Strong base salary paired with an uncapped 40% Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) tied directly to territory bookings. ㅤ Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary commercial and technical champion for Flowserve rotating equipment and sealing technologies across dedicated Bay Area refining facilities. Own and achieve annual territory bookings targets across engineered pumps, mechanical seals, replacement parts, and emergency repair services. Conduct regular on-site plant walk-throughs and unit visits to inspect running equipment, identify bad actors, and recommend API 610 pump and API 682 seal upgrade solutions. Partner closely with Benicia QRC engineering and operations teams to review teardowns, develop repair work scopes, and expedite emergency turnaround requests. Manage the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity discovery and quote development to contract negotiations, executive presentations, and post-order execution. Deliver consultative technical presentations and training sessions to plant engineering and reliability teams, positioning Flowserve as the trusted solutions provider. ㅤ Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline — OR equivalent practical hands-on technical sales / field service experience. 1+ years of technical sales, application engineering, field service, or reliability engineering experience with industrial rotating machinery (centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, compressors, steam turbines, or process fluid equipment). Practical familiarity working within heavy continuous-process facilities (refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or power generation). Strong communication, consultative negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to commute regularly between Bay Area customer plants and the Benicia QRC. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. ㅤ Preferred Qualifications Specialized technical knowledge of API 610 centrifugal pumps or API 682 mechanical seals and auxiliary piping plans. Demonstrated experience conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and equipment bad-actor elimination programs. Established commercial or working relationships within Northern California / Bay Area refineries. ㅤ What We Can Offer You At Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your, and your family's, needs.
