Build More Than a Job

Strong Restoration of Michigan is growing, and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.

We are not just hiring someone to fill a technician position. We are looking for people who want to learn the restoration industry, build real skills, take on more responsibility, and create a long-term career.

If you are dependable, motivated, comfortable working with your hands, and want to be part of a company where your effort can actually lead somewhere, we want to meet you.

You do not need restoration experience to start. We can teach the technical side.

What we need from you is a strong work ethic, reliability, a willingness to learn, and pride in the work you do.

What the Job Looks Like

Restoration work is hands-on, fast-paced, and different every day.

You may be helping a homeowner after a flooded basement, setting drying equipment after a water loss, removing damaged materials, documenting a job, or helping restore a property after fire or mold damage.

Your work directly helps people get their homes and businesses back.

You will:

  • Respond to water, fire, mold, and other property-damage jobs
  • Perform water extraction and structural drying
  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment
  • Take moisture readings and document affected areas
  • Perform demolition and remove damaged materials when needed
  • Assist with fire, smoke, and mold cleanup
  • Take job-site photos and maintain accurate documentation
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Protect customers’ homes, businesses, and belongings
  • Work closely with technicians, leads, and project managers
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Participate in a rotating emergency/on-call schedule

Who Does Well Here

Some of our best future technicians may not have “restoration technician” on their résumé yet.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in:

  • Construction
  • Moving
  • Landscaping
  • Maintenance
  • Warehousing
  • Delivery
  • Demolition
  • Cleaning
  • Automotive or mechanical work
  • Other physically active or hands-on jobs

Or maybe you are simply ready to learn a trade and build something better for yourself.

What matters most is that you:

  • Show up and can be counted on
  • Work hard and take pride in doing things correctly
  • Are willing to learn and accept coaching
  • Communicate well with customers and coworkers
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Take initiative instead of waiting to be told every next step
  • Want the opportunity to grow beyond an entry-level position

Where This Can Lead

This position does not have to be the finish line.

We want technicians who are interested in developing into:

Mitigation Technician ? Lead Technician ? Crew Lead ? Project Management ? Operations & Leadership

As you build your skills, earn certifications, demonstrate leadership, and take on more responsibility, there are opportunities to move forward.

We are growing, which means we need people who are ready to grow with us.

What We Offer

  • $21–$25/hour based on experience
  • Full-time employment
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Training and industry certification opportunities
  • Hands-on experience in a skilled industry
  • Opportunities for advancement
  • A team environment where strong performance is noticed
  • The opportunity to build a career with a growing restoration company

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to perform physical work throughout the day
  • Ability to lift approximately 50–75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a variety of environments
  • Willingness to participate in emergency/on-call work
  • Dependability and reliable attendance

IICRC certifications such as WRT, FSRT, or AMRT are a plus, but they are not required to apply.

Restoration Is Emergency Work

Our customers usually meet us on one of the worst days they have had in a while.

A pipe burst. A basement flooded. A fire damaged their home. Something happened that they were not prepared for.

Our job is to show up, solve the problem, and help them move forward.

That means restoration sometimes requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, and unexpected calls.

But it also means the work matters.

You can look at the end of a job and know exactly what your team accomplished.

Ready for Something You Can Build On?

If you are looking for more than just another hourly job and want an opportunity to learn, grow, and build a future in the restoration industry, apply today.

Strong Restoration of Michigan is looking for people who want to become part of what we are building.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Strong Restoration of Michigan is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
