Full description

About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company with operations in Metro Detroit and Los Angeles, supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

The role. We’re hiring a Product Manager to own the software operators use to receive, plan, cut, track, and ship metal. You will work on the factory floor, understand how work and information move, and turn those observations into systems people can trust under real production pressure.

The best solution is not always another screen. You will simplify workflows, remove failure points, and work across software and operations to improve the entire process.

You will:

  • Own the roadmap for inventory, planning, production, quality, and shipping workflows

  • Observe operators directly and map how work actually happens

  • Define requirements, exceptions, and success metrics with engineering and operations

  • Prioritize improvements based on safety, reliability, throughput, and delivery impact

  • Design workflows that remain clear during unusual or high-pressure situations

  • Lead product delivery from discovery through rollout and adoption

  • Measure system usage and operational performance after launch

  • Maintain clear documentation and decision history

  • Coordinate changes across software, training, process, and equipment

  • Build trust with users by responding quickly when systems fail

You are:

  • Drawn to operational complexity and practical problem-solving

  • Comfortable spending substantial time on a factory floor

  • Skilled at separating root causes from symptoms

  • Precise about states, exceptions, ownership, and data integrity

  • Able to communicate with both operators and software engineers

  • Focused on adoption and outcomes, not feature volume

  • Calm, organized, and decisive when priorities compete

  • Respectful of frontline expertise

Nice to have:

  • Experience with manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, ERP, or logistics systems

  • Experience launching software into physical operations

  • Technical fluency with integrations, databases, and event-driven workflows

  • Familiarity with Lean operations or continuous improvement

Benefits:

  • Equity in Nox Metals

  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance

This role is full time, in person in either Los Angeles or Detroit, Michigan.

Nox Metals is an equal opportunity employer. We hire based on skill, attitude, and fit for the work, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, height, weight, marital status, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
