Stationary Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain and repair the boiler and boiler system. JOB SUMMARY: Maintain and repair all boiler and boiler system equipment. This includes startup, shutdown, emergency operation, and repair of all of these systems and equipment. Assure adequate fuel is always available. Maintain and repair all central chiller system components. This includes startup, shutdown, emergency operation, repair of all chiller system equipment, and proper preventative maintenance of these systems and equipment. Document all work performed and all training received or given per department procedures. Communicate with all departmental/interdepartmental staff as required and attend required meetings and in-services. Keep all grounds logs current. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Three to five years of power plant experience - coal-fired boiler experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certification Skills: City of Rochester Third Class Stationary License or equivalent experience. Refrigeration certification preferred. PAY RANGE: $39.07 - $39.07 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The posted pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for this position. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE.
