ABOUT PRECISIONLENDER PrecisionLender is the relationship pricing and profitability platform trusted by commercial banks and financial institutions to win better deals, grow profitable relationships, and make smarter decisions at the point of negotiation. Our platform combines real-time pricing intelligence, market benchmarking, and AI-assisted guidance to help bankers structure deals that are good for their customers and good for their institution. SUMMARY The Senior Product Owner – Data Platforms will own the day-to-day definition, prioritization, and delivery of PrecisionLender’s foundational data platform capabilities, spanning data ingestion, processing, transformation, storage, and downstream consumption across Data Studio, Data Explorer, Data Library, BI platforms, and Q2 Assistant. Working closely with the Product Manager, Engineering, Data, and other Product partners, this role will translate data platform strategy into well-defined, executable requirements and prioritized backlogs. The Product Owner will serve as the primary product partner to Engineering throughout delivery—clarifying requirements, managing dependencies and tradeoffs, defining data quality expectations, and validating that capabilities are reliable and ready for downstream use. The role will play a critical part in the migration from ADLS to Snowflake, modernization of the data platform, reduction of technical debt, and creation of scalable, trustworthy data foundations for PrecisionLender’s analytics and AI capabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES Own and continuously prioritize the data platform backlog, spanning ingestion, processing, transformation, storage, data quality, and downstream consumption. Translate product strategy and business needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans. Serve as the day-to-day Product partner to Data Engineering, answering questions, refining requirements, resolving ambiguity, and making timely scope and prioritization decisions. Partner with the Product Manager to translate roadmap priorities into executable work and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs. Define and validate requirements for data quality, normalization, reliability, lineage, availability, and performance across platform capabilities. Coordinate dependencies across Data Engineering, Product, Analytics, Q2 Assistant, Integrations, and other downstream consumers of PrecisionLender data. Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning support, acceptance testing, and product validation to ensure delivered capabilities meet requirements. Ensure new and migrated data capabilities are ready for downstream use across analytics, reporting, BI, and AI-powered experiences. Maintain clear visibility into delivery status, blockers, dependencies, data quality concerns, and scope changes for Product and Engineering leadership. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Demonstrated software product management experience, including strategy and delivery ownership for data, platform, or infrastructure products. Experience with data pipelines, ingestion, ETL/transformation, storage, and data quality/governance. Experience with platform modernization or cloud data warehouse migrations; Snowflake preferred. Technical fluency to effectively partner with Engineering on data architecture, reliability, and scalability. Experience ensuring analytics, reporting, or AI products are built on reliable data foundations. Financial services, commercial banking, or regulated B2B SaaS experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with user analytics and AI tools in product workflows is a plus. This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English. Applicants in California or Washington State may not be exempt from federal and state overtime requirements Mission Q2’s mission is to build strong and diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions. That mission shapes the technology we build, how we serve our customers, and how we show up for each other. Vision We started with a straightforward belief: technology could fundamentally change how financial institutions serve their communities. More than 20 years later, that belief still drives us. Q2 delivers digital banking and lending solutions that help financial institutions deepen relationships, improve experiences, and grow. Across every department and region, Q2 team members bring creativity, collaboration, and purpose to building technology that makes banking stronger, easier, and more human. Culture & Values Q2’s culture is built by Q2ers and grounded in ten guiding principles that define how we show up for each other, our customers, and our communities. We take our mission seriously. We also have fun doing it. Teams across the company work together to solve hard problems, move quickly, and make a real impact on the financial institutions and communities we serve. We’re also helping shape how AI is applied in financial services, bringing the same disciplined, banking-first approach Q2 has practiced for more than 20 years to this next chapter of innovation.
