The UI/UX Designer Intern will support the Infrastructure & Operations (Infra & Ops) team by helping design intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for internal tools, dashboards, platforms, and operational systems. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside IT professionals to improve how employees interact with technology through thoughtful design, usability research, wireframing, and prototyping. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is passionate about user experience, visual design, and emerging technologies. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to real-world IT initiatives while developing professional design skills in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, Engineering, and Product stakeholders to understand user needs and business requirements. Design wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows for internal applications and operational platforms. Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to identify opportunities for experience improvements. Translate complex technical processes into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI components for consistency across products. Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively. Assist with accessibility reviews and ensure designs align with usability best practices. Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to recommend enhancements and optimizations. Support the modernization of internal IT tools and digital employee experiences. Present design concepts and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects, academic work, personal projects, or relevant professional experience. Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms. Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices. Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and interaction design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to receive feedback and iterate on designs effectively. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with React or modern front-end frameworks. Experience creating interactive prototypes and conducting usability testing. Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles. Interest in enterprise technology, IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and digital workplace solutions.
