The Opportunity We are currently on the lookout for an Intern – Site Reliability Engineering to join our team. Join Sysco Shop’s Site Reliability Engineering Internship Program designed to transform our current L2 Support Team into a proactive, development-minded SRE team. This internship offers IT undergraduates a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience maintaining the reliability of a billion-dollar application, performing incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems. Responsibilities: Taking ownership of a core engineering domain (e.g., User & Permissions), embedded within the product/engineering team Troubleshooting and resolving production issues, improving system reliability and performance Collaborating with Engineering and SRE/Operations teams to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational processes Conducting deep root cause analysis by diving into logs and system performance diagnostics Contributing to documentation and runbooks to improve team knowledge and response times Supporting IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including incident and change management Balancing your time between traditional L2 support and proactive reliability engineering tasks Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field No prior professional experience required—this internship is designed to teach and grow your skills Must be curious and eager to learn about software engineering, DevOps, and operations An analytical mindset with an interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Benefits: An attractive allowance Paid birthday leave Exposure to the corporate culture of a Fortune 100 company An opportunity to work with and learn from industry specialists, and develop professionally in your chosen field Opportunities to network and build lasting professional relationships A progressive culture that promotes work-life harmony and personal development Sysco LABS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
