1st Pet Veterinary Centers is looking for an experienced Primary Care Veterinary Technician to join our Mesa team.

Our Mesa hospital provides Primary Care, Rehabilitation, and Emergency & Urgent Care services, giving you the opportunity to work in a veterinary environment with a broad range of experience and resources.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


As a Primary Care Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide compassionate, efficient care to patients and an excellent experience for their families.


You'll:

• Provide skilled, compassionate support for primary care patients throughout their visits.

• Work closely with veterinarians to support examinations, treatments, and patient-care plans.

• Assist with dental procedures and routine surgeries.

• Monitor anesthesia for routine procedures and communicate patient status and concerns appropriately to the veterinary team.

• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet parents so they feel informed and supported.

• Use your technical experience, organization, and attention to detail to help appointments, procedures, and patient care run smoothly.

• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate important information promptly to the veterinarian and medical team.

• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and Client Service Representatives to provide a coordinated client and patient experience.

• Maintain accurate, organized patient information and high standards of patient care, safety, cleanliness, and organization.

• Continue developing your technical knowledge and skills as part of an experienced veterinary team.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time Primary Care position with a Monday–Friday schedule.


Scheduled hours may fall between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., depending on the day and shift.

Requirements

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR


We're looking for an experienced veterinary technician who combines strong technical skills with compassion, communication, organization, and a commitment to excellent patient care.


REQUIRED

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience in a similar role.

• Experience with dental procedures and routine surgeries.

• Comfortable monitoring anesthesia for routine procedures.

• Strong veterinary technical and patient-care skills.

• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns appropriately to the veterinarian and medical team.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple patient-care responsibilities.

• Clear, professional, and compassionate communication with clients and teammates.

• Dependability, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a veterinary team.

• Compassion, conscientiousness, and resilience when working with patients and pet parents.

• Commitment to high standards of patient care and continued learning.

• Availability to work a Monday–Friday schedule, with scheduled hours that may fall between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.


STRONGLY PREFERRED

• Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credential.


We're looking for someone who has already built a strong foundation in veterinary medicine and is ready to contribute those skills in Primary Care while continuing to learn and grow.
