The company is dedicated to the success of college students worldwide, having provided courseware to more than 1.9 million students in over 1800 academic institutions. zyBooks is looking to hire a part-time Research and Data Analyst to lead the internal and external research efforts in STEM education. Job Responsibilities: Lead and conduct studies to evaluate student efficacy with AI tools. Lead and conduct research on student learning using zyBooks across disciplines (Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, AI, Math and Stats). Publish research results at high-quality conferences and journals to disseminate findings to the STEM education community. Use data analytics to assist with the continual improvement of zyBooks' content and platform by assessing effectiveness in achieving learning outcomes and reducing unnecessary student struggle. Collaborate with instructors in designing, conducting, and publishing research studies. Collaborate with authors, engineers, and instructors to conduct studies for new and existing products or significant platform features. Collaborate with engineers to develop early POCs for new tools that improve student learning. Create and maintain appropriate documentation and quarterly research reports. Required Qualifications: PhD in STEM education fields. Strong background in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research. Demonstrated record of research papers. Strong understanding of pedagogies relevant to STEM education. SQL experience. Experience with data analysis and visualization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to innovation in teaching at the undergraduate levels. Highly motivated and organized. Preferred Qualifications: PhD in CS or CS education. Experience with AI is strongly preferred. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
