Job Title Software Designer (C++) - Image Guided Therapy Job Description Help shape the software behind Philips image-guided therapy systems. Design, build, test and improve software used in X-ray imaging platforms for cardiac and vascular diagnosis and intervention. You will work on display software within the Imaging Chain Cluster and help keep complex, long-lived products reliable, maintainable and ready for future innovation. Your role Design, implement and test software for the imaging chain of Philips X-ray systems, with a focus on display software for the Azurion platform. Translate system and subsystem needs into robust software designs, define interfaces and maintain clear technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Develop and modernize at least C++ 11, C#, and working with legacy code on Windows, model-based design and automatic code generation. Work at the intersection of software and hardware, applying engineering practices that support quality, maintainability and compliance in a regulated medical-device environment. Collaborate in an Agile Release Train with software, system, hardware and quality stakeholders in the Netherlands and internationally. Use continuous-improvement practices, pair programming and AI-assisted development to strengthen delivery, engineering effectiveness and product quality. You're the right fit if You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent field, and bring around five years of relevant software-development experience. You have strong hands-on experience with C++ and C, including legacy software, and are comfortable developing for Windows environments. You have experience with model-based design and automatic code generation, software-to-hardware interaction in complex systems, and TDD and BDD. You have experience working in a regulated industry and bring a can-do, continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to collaborate through pair programming and use AI-assisted software development. Nice to have: experience in healthcare or MedTech. How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. The base salary range for this role is €61.185 – €101.976. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.
