We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Program Manager to join the Department Relationship Success team or National Volunteer Services. This position will support volunteer engagement and mobilization in SAF, ISD and Corporate departments. This is a fully remote position and can be located anywhere in the USA. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The Department Relationship Success (DRS) team is seeking a Program Manager to support volunteer workforce engagement across SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments. This position serves as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of departments, partnering with program managers, business leads, and stakeholders to help departments effectively engage volunteers in support of mission objectives. The Program Manager provides consultation, coordination, and operational support. They help departments identify workforce needs, develop recruitment approaches, navigate volunteer systems and processes, support onboarding and engagement activities, and connect stakeholders with the resources needed to successfully utilize volunteers. Success in this role is built on strong relationships, responsiveness, collaboration, and consistent execution. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Responsibilities): Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments. Build and maintain strong working relationships with program managers, department stakeholders, Volunteer Services teams, volunteer leaders, and cross-functional partners. Consult with departments to identify workforce needs and determine appropriate volunteer engagement and recruitment strategies. Support departments in implementing recruitment plans, promoting opportunities, and navigating volunteer workforce processes. Coordinate communications, meetings, briefings, presentations, and stakeholder updates. Manage and support Volunteer Connection activities, including position management, reporting, recruitment workflows, and volunteer engagement processes. Provide guidance on volunteer workforce policies, processes, and best practices. Support volunteer leaders and volunteer teams that sustain enterprise and global volunteer positions. Pull, analyze, and interpret volunteer workforce data to support decision-making and workforce discussions. Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, briefing materials, and leadership updates. Monitor workforce trends, volunteer vacancies, recruitment activity, and engagement metrics across assigned departments. Partner with stakeholders to address challenges, identify opportunities, and improve volunteer utilization. Support enterprise initiatives, strategic projects, and other Department Relationship Success priorities. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: (Qualifications) Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service and ability in creating presentations and developing training modules. Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Intermediate-level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work on a team. Travel: travel is minimal: 2-3 in-person meetings per year. * A combination of the candidate’s education and general experience satisfies the requirements, so long as the total years equate to the description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). SALARY INFORMATION: The salary range for this position is $81,000- $93,000. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned with the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, the number of years of experience you have, and comparisons to other employees already in this role.
