Requirements
As a Transmission Sales & Technical Specialist at RevMax Performance in Charlotte, NC, you’ll help performance shops, builders, distributors and end users find the right transmissions, torque converters and drivetrain parts for their builds. You’ll bring in new accounts and support existing customers, and you’ll share what you hear from them with our engineering and product teams. Your know-how helps racers and enthusiasts get reliable performance from American-made parts.
What you’ll do
- Put safety first and never pass on a defect, no matter what leaves your hands.
- Work like a pit crew and bring innovation to finding better, faster and smarter ways to work.
- Sell performance transmissions, torque converters, gear sets and related drivetrain parts to new and existing customers, with no cold calling.
- Build new accounts by meeting customers at trade shows like SEMA and PRI, customer visits and product demos.
- Recommend parts based on horsepower, application, chassis and use (street, drag or track).
- Provide technical support by reviewing vehicle specs, modifications and customer-supplied data.
- Share customer needs, market trends and new product ideas with engineering and product teams.
- Track competitor products and pricing to keep our offerings competitive.
- Take ownership of your work and look for ways to make it better.
- Help keep our workplace safe, organized and respectful.
What you bring:
- Passion for what you do and pride in your work.
- A commitment to showing up, following through and doing the right thing.
- Associate’s degree in automotive technology or 5+ years of automotive experience.
- At least 3 years of technical sales in the automotive aftermarket, including phone sales and customer support.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of diesel and gas performance transmissions and components.
- Ability to read specs, interpret test data and recommend solutions, including custom builds.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and closing skills, with the organization to manage multiple accounts.
- A commitment to safety and quality.
Nice to have:
Nice to have: Certification in high-performance engine tuning and transmission rebuilding; technical sales experience with performance transmissions; ASE certification.
