What We Are Looking For

Thread Bank is seeking a client-focused professional to manage embedded banking relationships in a growing, fast-paced environment while balancing partner success, regulatory expectations, risk management, and operational execution. The Client Manager serves as the primary relationship and

execution lead for an assigned portfolio of embedded banking partners. This role suits someone who is analytical, organized, and commercially aware, and who coordinates comfortably across partners, bank leadership, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology.

What You'll Do

  • Own day-to-day client management, project coordination, issue tracking, and performance analytics for an assigned portfolio of embedded banking partners.
  • Support diligence, approval, implementation, launch, and expansion activities for new and existing partner programs, ensuring business readiness and clear accountability across internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on partner performance, including deposit balances, transaction volumes, revenue, program economics, service levels, risk indicators, and key trends, using Microsoft Excel, business intelligence (“BI”) dashboards, and AI-assisted analysis tools.
  • Plan and facilitate recurring partner business reviews covering performance, strategy, volume forecasts, roadmaps, open issues, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Manage partner requests, complaints, escalations, program changes, and expansion inquiries from intake through resolution, coordinating approvals and next steps with the appropriate bank teams.
  • Monitor partner compliance and risk indicators, including complaint trends, Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering (“BSA/AML”) and fraud alerts, reconciliation exceptions, service-level performance, and operational issues, and coordinate remediation with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology.
  • Coordinate partner oversight under Thread Bank’s third-party risk management program, including annual reviews, control testing, evidence collection, remediation tracking, and audit or examiner requests.
  • Maintain clear communication between partners and internal bank teams by documenting decisions, clarifying standards, tracking commitments, escalating issues, and following through on key deliverables.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, presentations, minutes, action items, and executive-ready updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management or as business needs require.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three or more years of experience in embedded banking, banking as a service (“BaaS”), fintech partnerships, or financial services, with direct partner-facing or client-facing responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory framework for sponsor banks and their fintech partners, including BSA/AML, know your customer and know your business (“KYC/KYB”) requirements, unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices (“UDAAP”), Regulation E, third-party risk management guidance, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”) deposit insurance and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Familiarity with embedded banking program architecture, including application programming interfaces (“APIs”), ledgers, card issuing, ACH and wire payment rails, and partner reconciliation processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information and data to develop new approaches to issue resolution.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and partners.
  • Excellent group facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership, integrity, and reliability, with the ability to work independently and take a hands-on approach to execution.

Preferred

  • Working proficiency with BI and data tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
  • Practical experience using AI assistants, such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude, to support analysis, reporting, meeting documentation, and partner communications, with sound judgment on data privacy and accuracy.
  • Project management experience or certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or Agile, with hands-on use of project tools such as Asana, Jira, or Airtable.
  • Sponsor bank experience.
