Workday Internal Jobs Site for Students Position Title: KUWS Radio Sports Engineer Job Category: Student Hourly Job Profile: Student Help Job Summary: You are applying for the position of KUWS Radio Sports Engineer. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide in-studio board operations for UW-Superior sports broadcasts on KUWS Radio with prior training from radio station staff. Gain knowledge of radio/audio technology and proper care of the equipment and studio. Maintain positive communication with fellow students, KUWS student radio production coordinator and Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) staff. Follow format guidelines for local KUWS programming and UW-Superior sports broadcasts. Follow and adhere to all Federal Communications Communication (FCC) and WPR guidelines and regulations will broadcasting on KUWS Radio. Arrive ahead of time for all shifts to make contact with on-site broadcast team, troubleshoot any issues and ensure everything is in working order to air sports broadcasts on time. Notify station leadership of accidents, incidents or problems with equipment and studios. Clock in and out for all radio shifts in a timely manner. Keep the station and studios clean. Other duties as assigned. PREFERRED SKILLS Communicating Arts class (radio production) or equivalent experience or interest. Strong sense of reliability and responsibility. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of sports broadcasting or a strong willingness to learn. Willingness and ability to work with others in team situations. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. SALARY: $12.00/hour, Approximately 10 hours/week.
