Brown & Brown is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Jacksonville, Florida. As an Account Executive, you will serve as a trusted advisor to commercial clients, partnering closely with Producers, carrier partners, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, develop tailored insurance solutions, and drive client retention and growth. This role combines relationship management, strategic account oversight, and business development support to ensure clients receive best-in-class risk management guidance and insurance expertise. How You'll Contribute Serve as a primary relationship manager for assigned commercial clients. Partner with Producers to support new business opportunities and organic growth initiatives. Analyze client operations, risk exposures, and current insurance programs to identify opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions. Develop renewal strategies and collaborate with Producers to prepare proposals, presentations, and coverage recommendations. Market accounts to insurance carriers and negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage solutions. Present insurance program recommendations to clients and prospects. Meet with clients throughout the year to review business changes, identify evolving risks, and strengthen relationships. Engage clients at least 120 days prior to renewal to review strategy, exposures, and coverage needs. Coordinate with carrier partners and internal teams to ensure timely execution of new and renewal business. Monitor loss trends and recommend risk management strategies when appropriate. Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and account activity. Support prospecting efforts through CRM management, lead tracking, and relationship-building activities. Represent Brown & Brown in networking, community, and business development events. Stay informed of industry trends, carrier appetite changes, and market developments. Skills and Experience to Be Successful Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Strong relationship-building and client service skills. Technology-savvy with the ability to learn agency and carrier systems quickly. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Valid driver's license and ability to satisfy Brown & Brown driving requirements. Preferred 2+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience. Commercial insurance client management or account executive experience. Working knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight.
