Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Architect to define, lead, and evolve our enterprise-wide Technology architecture strategy. As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, this role closely partners with the business and the other members of the technology organization to design modern, resilient, and secure technology ecosystems and platforms that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic and technical thinking, solving the most complex enterprise technology problems with enterprise grade solutions. Responsibilities Define and evolve the enterprise technology architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and modernization initiatives. Establish and drive enterprise architecture practices, standards, and reference architectures across federated architecture and engineering teams. Leverage Enterprise Architecture platforms (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq) to maintain architecture visibility, governance, and decision-making processes. Design and govern enterprise-wide technology ecosystems, integration patterns, and platform strategies across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Lead the architecture of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing technology solutions that support enterprise growth and operational excellence. Define and enforce technology governance, architecture review processes, compliance controls, security standards, and quality frameworks. Partner with business, product, engineering, data, security, and infrastructure leaders to translate strategic priorities into executable technology architectures. Provide technical leadership throughout the product and solution lifecycle, conducting architecture reviews and ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices. Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or Wealth Management environments preferred. Cloud architecture experience with Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud, and enterprise platform modernization initiatives preferred. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Eight or more years of relevant experience Skills & Qualifications Deep expertise in Enterprise Architecture, technology strategy, and large-scale enterprise solution design within complex organizations. Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, or equivalent architecture repositories and modeling platforms. Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks including TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, Zachman, and modeling approaches such as ArchiMate, UML, and C4. Proven ability to design modern application, platform, infrastructure, and integration architectures across hybrid environments. Experience implementing technology governance, risk management, privacy, security, and compliance controls within enterprise environments. Strong background in software engineering and solution delivery, including prior experience as a senior engineer or technical lead. Expertise designing resilient, scalable, highly available application and infrastructure platforms, including cloud-native and distributed architectures. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence executive and technical audiences. The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $159,970.00 - $188,200.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
