 FEV is seeking a Project Engineer in the field of controls and software development for engine, hybrid and fuel cell

control systems. FEV offers the opportunity to work in highly motivated engineering teams to develop the next

generation of propulsion systems for commercial and automotive industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Development of controls software for vehicle propulsion system including engine, aftertreatment, hybrid powertrain, fuel cell and thermal system
  • Development and implementation of AI-augmented propulsion system controls
  • Development of machine learning methods for implementation within propulsion system controls and simulation
  • Conducting MiL, SiL, HiL testing to verify and validate the control strategy and functions
  • Internal/external presentation preparation


Requirements

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical/ Electronics, Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering or related field
  • Must be US citizen or Greencard holder
  • Machine learning methods development background in Python
  • Controls software development background with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Understanding of engine, hybrid and fuel cell powertrain systemssystem
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics and drawings
  • Must be a motivated team player to perform in fast paced development environment
  • Good communicator (oral and written), organized, and mindful of time management

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with development and training of deep neural networks in propulsion system control
  • Knowledge of electronic control system, sensors and actuators in electrified powertrain
  • Hands-on experience with control hardware
  • 1D modeling experience of engine combustion system, engine air system, aftertreatment system, batteries, electric motors, fuel cell systems, propulsion and thermal systems
